Make it Monday #43: Happy Birthday

I am here with a card for this week's Make it Monday #43, where Dawn teaches us how to make a pleated ribbon border for our projects.  You can see the video here.

This is my first time trying this technique, and I have to say, my ribbon looks more scrunched than pleated.  However, I am still happy with the way the card came out.  Let's just call these pleats 'unique'.  I based the layout of this card on this card by Laurie at Soapbox Creations.

Supplies Used (PTI):
Stamps:  Communique Curves Sentiments, Fillable Frames
Paper:  White, Raspberry Fizz, Black & White Basics Patterned Paper
Other:  Fillable Frames Die, Sunshine IP, Raspberry Fizz Saddle Stitch Ribbon

Thanks for Visiting

  18. Joyce, what a gorgeous card. Congrats on winning PTI's MIM #43! Isn't it fun picking out a "free" stamp set? Just was one of the winners myself from the November Blog Hop and selected "In The Meadow." It was a hard decision as my wish list is quite long! Anyway, congratulations and enjoy!
