CASology Week #341...Turquoise

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is TURQUOISE.

I used Uniko Pure Florals Chrysanthemum stamps for my card.  I inked up the biggest solid Chrysanthemum image in Catherine Pooler Aquatini ink (my turquoise), added some texture and attached a die cut sentiment.  A really quick and easy CAS card.

Now it's your turn.  How does TURQUOISE inspire you?

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)
Our sponsor this week is Uniko.  The details of the prize can be found on the CASology blog.

I hope you play along this week.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the our Guest Designer Elizabeth and the CASology design team.

Time Out #133...Reminder...Happy Birthday

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is to use 2 or more EMBELLISHMENTS.  There is also the optional one layer challenge.  Well, the one layer was out for me, as I chose to use the lovely Memory Box Stitched Maple Circle Frame die provided by our sponsor.

This die can be used in so many ways, and if you head over to the Time Out blog, you will see so many different ways to use this die.  I tied a little bow of twine on the stem of each of my maple leaves, and I think this will be a great card to have in my stash for any masculine birthdays I need to celebrate next fall.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Andrea, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge.  Birch Press Designs is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

CASology Week #339...Leap

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is LEAP.

I got a head start on my holiday cards for 2019 with this card, that pairs a MFT NY skyline die cut with a leaping reindeer from PTI Dash Away All.  I used black sparkle embossing powder, which does not photograph well, but looks very shimmery in person.

Now it's your turn.  How does LEAP inspire you?

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

I hope you play along this week.  Our sponsor this week is STAMPlorations.  Details are on the CASology blog.

CASology Week #338...Plastic

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is PLASTIC.

Many wonderful things are made of plastic, it is true, but the images that turned up when I Googled 'PLASTIC' put me in the mood to think about recycling.

I pulled out a stamp (a freebie, I think) from Serendipity Stamps and layered it with it in a craft circle.  My use of kraft and green is a deliberate choice to reinforce my message of being kind to our earth and to recycle.

Now it's your turn.  How does PLASTIC inspire you?

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments

Time out #132...Reminder...Happy Anniversary

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is a home sweet home challenge, and we have this wonderful photo to inspire you.

Here is a larger picture of just the inspiration image.

I took my inspiration from the butterfly image, the colors--navy with a touch of pink, and the idea of fabric on the couch and pillows.  I used Altenew Painted Butterfiles and stamped a background of many butterflies, then used a needlepoint texture plate to add a fabric like texture.  My sentiment on pink paper is a nod to the pink flowers in the photo.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Bobby, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge.  Altenew is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

CASology Week #337...Burst

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is BURST.  I immediately thought of "the bombs bursting in air" and had a terrible ear worm of The Star Spangled Banner!  So, of course I had to use these fireworks stamps from Waltzingmouse, and will use it as a birthday card for someone with a birthday near July 4th.

Now it's your turn.  How does BURST inspire you?

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)
