CASology Week #285...Swoon

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is SWOON.  A swan who swoons?  Of course--swoon with love for a wedding.

I (finally) broke out my PTI swans from Swan'sational and created this CAS wedding card.  I love the little water stamp included in the set--I used it to ground my swans.

Now it's your turn.  How does SWOON inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

Also, I am a little late in welcoming 3 new members to the CASology Design Team.  We are so lucky to have Bharata, Karen and Kevin join us, and I am looking forward to getting to know them and being inspired by them as well.  Please check out their blogs and leave them some love.

Finally Crafting Again

I'm back from my travels and my nest is only half full, so I had a chance to play around in my craft room this weekend.

First up is a card inspired by this adorable card by Kim over at MUSE #250.

Kim's Inspiration Card

I was inspired by all the cute colored images, the die cut windows, and the sponging inside the windows.  I used MFT/EH Good Friends stamps and fussy cut (forgot I ordered the dies, too), and colored with Copics.

I am also entering this card at CAS on Friday #125: Color Me Pretty and Addicted to Stamps and More #276:  Anything Goes.

My next card uses the technique of the week at PTI Make it Monday #310: Shadowed Sentiments and the color scheme at Color Throwdown #477.  I stamped HB in Orange Zest and then used Aqua Mist for the shadow.  I am also entering this card at Seize the Birthday.

Last up is a card that uses 3 really cool nesting dies by Birch Press, sent to me by my dear friend, Tracey.  I used the color scheme from this week's Cupcake Inspiration #438 and am also entering at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Layer it Up.

Time Out #101...Reminder...Friendship is the True Gift of the Season

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.

I love this two step pile of gifts stamp from PTI.  It makes it really easy to create a large focal point using two different colors.  It can be a bit tricky to line up, but once that is done, it is very easy.  I die cut and stamped some of the little bows and such and adhered them with foam tape for extra dimension.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Michele, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge.  Birch Press Designs is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

CASology Week #284...Late

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is LATE.  My first thought was all those birthdays I mean to send cards for, and end up being late.  So, I made a belated birthday card.  I know this card will come in handy before too long.

I used stamps and dies from PTI Forget Me Not.  I stamped the flowers and sentiment directly on my card front, and then used stacked die cuts coated with Wink of Stella to complete my sentiment.

Now it's your turn.  How does LATE inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

CASology Week 283...Glimmer

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is GLIMMER.

I must admit that I had to look this one up, as I was not exactly sure precisely what it meant.  Here is what I found on Dictionary.com.

glimmer

[glim-er]

noun
1.
a faint or unsteady light; gleam.
2.
a dim perception; inkling.
verb (used without object)
3.
to shine faintly or unsteadily; twinkle, shimmer, or flicker.
4.
to appear faintly or dimly.

I went with definition 3, and created a twinkling, glimmery night sky.  I used PTI Dash Away All and Delicata Silver ink to create my glimmering sky background.

Now it's your turn.  How does GLIMMER inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

Time Out #100...Reminder...Thank You

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  This week, we challenge you to be THANKFUL

I made a bunch of different thank you card sets for my daughters and nieces to use.  Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures before I sent the sets to my nieces.  Here are some pics of the cards I made for one of my daughters.

I made them flat cards--that is their favorite type of thank you, as there is just enough room for the essentials.  I used an Avery Elle sentiment and stamps and dies from PTI for the sweater and gloves.

There were a couple of different sweater patterns in the kit, and I also mixed up the colors a little.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Bobby, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge.  Verve is our sponsor for this challenge and we also have Julee from Verve joining us for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

CASology Week #282...Hug

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is HUG.

I die cut the word 'Hugs' several times, stacked them up and coated with black Wink of Stella.  Finally, I got a stamp set from Uniko, and I couldn't wait to ink it up.  I used the largest bloom from Uniko Pure Florals Chrysanthemum and stamped it partially off the page.  Then I tucked the supporting bits of my sentiment under my die cut word.

Now it's your turn.  How does HUG inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

Tag You're It.....Farewell

Today, I am joining with all the other past and current designers at Tag You're It! to say goodbye.  After 79 challenges, Tag You're It! is closing down.  Tracey has asked us to reflect on our TYI projects and highlight our favorite.

I had the good fortune to be a part of the TYI design team for a short time.  Here are the projects I made while on that DT.

My favorite tag is the one I made for #36, where I was the inspiration.

I would like to thank Tracey for everything she has done over the years to keep this challenge running, all the members of all the DT's for providing so much inspiration, and, of course, all the participants who played along.

CASology Week #281...Encourage

Hello, Happy New Year and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is ENCOURAGE.

I used a sentiment from a new set I recently purchased from SSS called Hand Lettered Encouragement.  I love the idea of sending this card to a friend who is experiencing some difficult times.

After finishing my stamping, I die cut the center panel of my card, and then built it back up with layers of green paper.  When you see the card in person, you can see the green layers underneath my focal point.

I am also linking this card up at Calling All Sistas #8 challenge. (thanks Sandie)

Now it's your turn.  How does ENCOURAGE inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.
