Owl Birthday

We are on the final countdown to my youngest daughter's birthday, so I have been gathering my owls and making a few cards for her.  Note the lack of pink anywhere.  After her birthday, I will have two teenaged daughters....Pause a moment to think about that.

Hexagon Owl

I read about a custom button shop on Neat and Tangled a while back, and ordered a set of owl buttons from A Flair for Buttons on Etsy.  When I first checked the shop, she seemed to have every pattern under the sun, but no owls.  I contacted the shop owner and asked if she had any owls that weren't pink, and she made up a set just for me.  Aren't they cute?  Sarah is going to be away at basketball camp at Stanford on her birthday, so she will need a lot of cards from home to make her feel special.  I think she will really like this one.  It features Hawaiian Shores--her favorite PTI color.

This card uses Sarah's favorite owl paper from Jillibean Soup--I think it's my very last scrap.

  9. Super cute, Joyce! I laughed at your comment about 2 teenage daughters. I like to think I wasn't that bad but my younger twin sisters...another story!

  10. Both of these are so sweet. How fun to add custom made buttons too! Two teenagers in the same house, I remember me and my sister always giving my mom a run for her money, we are 13 months apart and never gave my mom peace.
