Make it Monday--Take 3

Last week, I was trying to build up my stash of get well cards and use up some patterned paper (so I could buy more, why else?).  Then, I watched this week's Make it Monday:  Stamping on Patterned Paper, and decided to use this technique on my last card.

This card went to one of my brother-in-laws, who has been having a rough go of it in chemotherapy.  I used some pages from my brand new Authentique Fresh pad, and stamped the sentiment on one of the sheets with a very faint pattern.

Brighter Days

I made these other cards before watching the video--so all the stamping is on white card stock (looks kind of boring, now).   I wanted to have get well cards on hand, and really needed some of them to be suitable for males.  With the exception of 'Take Care' below, I think the other 3 could be used for a guy.

  2. Joyce, I love how when you make a card you never make one...you make like 5!!! You are so talented/organized/smart! I think my favorite is the one you sent to your brother in law, I love the colors you chose and the chevrons. Good luck to him, I really do hope he starts seeing brighter days sooner rather than later.

but that 2nd one just pops out at you...

  5. they are all really lovely cards. I especially like the one for the challenge but you made me chuckle thinking the stamping on white was boring - not at all! I love the big sentiments on all the cards.

  6. Love all those cards Joyce, the sentiments stand out and look fabulous. Get well cards are the ones you need at the last minute and it is nice to have some made up.

  8. Joyce, all of these are so perfect for get well cards and you are just so smart to plan ahead and add to your stash. I love your use of brown, not a color I use very often. Your second card using Beautiful Blooms is so sweet, sure to perk someone up as soon as it is opened.

  10. Great idea to make more than one card at a time. I'm always making them one at a time--and usually at the last minute too! I need to follow your good example. All the designs are wonderful and I love the large sentiments. Your brother-in-law's card is fabulous--love the chevrons & that perfect sentiment! Hope he starts doing better soon.
