Summer School

Hello and happy Tuesday.  This is my 2nd post of the day.  If you are looking for my CASology post, please click here.

I am posting 4 birthday cards today and entering them all at Seize the Birthday #196: No Toppings,  Simon Says Monday Challenge: Happy Birthday, and Shopping Our Stash #426: Keep it Simple Sister.

Although my big dog Sherlock is dreadfully afraid of skateboarders, the little doggie on my card has no such fears.  He is riding his skateboard with a giant bouquet of balloons.  Such fun!

I have been in summer school and learning lots about card making.  Day 2 is all about rainbows, and I used MFT Balloon Bundle for my rainbow card.

Day 3 is all about symmetry, and I used MFT Wine Service and Good Time to Wine for my symmetry card.

Day 4 is all about Ombre.  One of my favorite ways to use ombre on a card is by using paint chips.  I used the same die as in the video and paired it with an ombre of blue.

2 Cards and a Bookmark

Popping in to share a few things I have made while under 'house arrest' in California.

First up, a card to celebrate happier times, which I hope will not be too long away.  I was inspired by the sketch at MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #482, Addicted to CAS #181: Texture, and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Next up is a card inspired by the challenge at Just Add Ink #498:  Just add "E".  I made an Encouragement card, one of many I plan to make and send to friends in the coming days.

I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #382: Make Your Mark, as I colored this stamp with colored pencils.

.

Last up is a bookmark I made using the Hero Arts Bookcase stamp.  The challenge at A Blog Named Hero is Anything But a Card, so it seemed fitting to make a bookmark with this fun stamp.  I took my inspiration for the colors from the inspiration photo at Just Us Girls #529.

Well, that's it for me today.  I'm almost done with the mystery/thriller 'The Woman in Cabin 10' and I must get back to it to see how it ends.

Crafty Round-Up

Just time for a super quick post of a couple of cards I made this weekend.....

For MFT Color Challenge #122 using dies from Wine Service.

For MFT Sketch challenge #448 and Color Throwdown #554 using MFT Delightful Deer.

For AAA Cards #146:  Made in Minutes--This card was really quick to make because I had already created the green panel in a previous crafting session and also because my design was inspired by something Kim made when she was visiting me, so I didn't have to do too much or think too much!

OK, gotta run....
