My Crafty Weekend

Hello and happy Sunday.  I am here to share the results of my crafty weekend.  First up is a summer scene inspired by the sketch at MFT Wednesday Sketch #499, the photo inspiration at Fusion Summer and at Inspired by #134 and Simon Says Monday Challenge: A Day at the Beach.

Next up is this fun ferris wheel card.  My BFF Kim sent me this stamped image with the unicorn, and I added a dog and a cat from Lawn Fawn Critters in the Burbs to complete my whimsical scene.  I was inspired by the photo inspiration at Just Us Girls #546 (amusement park), Lawn Fawnatics #81: Summertime Fun (we always go to the fair in the summer), and The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #185: D is for Dog.

My next two cards are inspired by the challenges at Stay Crafty with Hero #12: Friendship and A Blog Named Hero: Embossing.  I heat embossed the sentiment on both of these cards.  I used houses and a few other small images from Welcome Neighbor as well as some branches images from last autumn's My Monthly Hero kit.

Does something on this next card look familiar to you?  Yes, I watch way too much news these days.  And, with everyone broadcasting out of their homes, I have gotten very used to seeing a talking head with a bookshelf background.  I thought that would be fun to replicate on a card.

This card was so fun to make.  I stamped the Hero Arts Bookcase Peekaboo on some scratch paper and then cut it out with the 1950's Television Die.  I colored in the portion shaped like the TV screen and tossed the rest.

The hardest decision I had to make for this card was my choice of News Anchor.  I picked this mini Tim Holtz dog, as he looks as befuddled as I often feel when I am watching the news.  Closed Captions took care of the sentiment, which conveys the message I want to send to all my friends who I miss.

I am also entering this card at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #185: D is for Dog.

My last two cards were inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #382 and the colors at Color Throwdown #603.  I am also entering at Seize the Birthday #195: No Toppings.

I could not decide which of my many tropical birds to use for this card, so I made another card with my runner up choice.

Thanks for Visiting

Dream Big....and More...

Hello friends....I have eeked out some crafty time already this week, and will start with my favorite card of the bunch.  The challenge at Stay Crafty with Hero #8 is Small Joys, and I found some tiny stamps in my newest Hero Arts stamp set to use on my card.  I stamped the trio of books 4 separate times, cut them out and stacked them up, resting the little reading mouse right on top.  I don't know why, but I love this card so much (I may never send it out).  I am also entering this card at AAA Cards #165: Up to One Third + Optional Twist of Repeating Image (my trio of books).

This next card is inspired by the challenge at Lawn Faunatics #77: Oh Baby and Perfectly CAS #9: Animals.  This sweet little baby deer is from Lawn Fawn Into the Woods.

Next up is a card inspired by the challenge at Paper Smooches:  Thank You, Addicted to CAS #184: Flower, and Retro Rubber Challenge #135: tic tac toe (die cut, embossing, flowers).  My stamps are Paper Smooches Blossoming Buds and I think they are 4 years old.

Last up is a card using these beautiful Chrysanthemum stamps from Uniko, and I am inspired to play along with Uniko Challenge #59:  Anything Goes with the optional twist of bright and happy.

Thanks for Visiting

Have a Crafty Mother's Day

Hello and a Happy Mother's Day to all!!  I hope everyone is having a great Mother's Day, and can find a way to connect.  I was able to Zoom my mom, along with my brother, sister and all our kids.

I've got a photo heavy post, as I had a super crafty week...now I know why I am getting nothing done, because I've had so much fun with my cards this week.

Ink to Paper Melissa's Fab Friday:  Happy Mother's Day
Retro Rubber #134:  Spring Flowers (stamps are PTI Brushed Blooms...4 years old (probably))

To create my next 2 cards, I stenciled a panel with Memory Box Modern Flower Power stencil, then cut the panel in half to make 2 cards.  Now, I have a bit of a head start for next year.

I used an image from Perpetual Bliss to pair with the sentiment from Wine Samplers and drew in my own scribbles to indicate the ringing alarm.  Time for wine!

It's graduation season, so I have started on some graduation cards.  I just love this sentiment, from PTI Get Lost.

Entering at:
CAS(E) this Sketch #371

Funny thing about this card....I was so excited to see that I had a mini panda with a diploma that would be perfect for a graduation card.  After cutting it out, I thought it seemed strange that the panda would have 2 diplomas...then why did the diplomas have leaves?  Yes, it took me a while to realize that the panda was holding 2 pieces of bamboo.  But, I am still going to use this as a graduation card.

And, finally, the last card of the day...
