Time Out #46...Deck the Halls

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Time Out.  This week, we are inspired by this gorgeous and festive photo.

I was inspired by the wreath on the door in the photo, as well as the red, silver and green color scheme.  I stamped a wreath from PTI Deck the Halls, and added a silver bow.  After stamping my sentiment on my card front, I used a wood grain impression plate to add texture.

I hope that you will take some Time Out to play along with us over the next two weeks.  Please see the Time Out challenge blog to see more inspiration from the Design Team and our Guest Designer Sonja.

CASology Week #176: Tree

This is my second post for today.  If you are looking for my ColourQ post,  please click here.

Hello and happy Tuesday.  Time for another challenge at CASology.  This week, our cue word is TREE.  Even though we don't celebrate Christmas in my family, my mind still went right to a Christmas tree for this cue word.  How about an entire forest of Christmas trees in fun and funky colors?

I wanted to have a snowy scene on my card front, and could not locate my snow stencil.  I started to doubt myself--maybe I just wanted that stencil but never ordered it?  Anyway, I could not find it, but found a falling hearts stencil and used that instead.  That is the truth--I could just say that I wanted to have snow shaped like falling hearts.....

Anyway, then I die cut and stamped several trees from PTI Joyful Christmas and arranged them underneath my snowy hearts.

Now, it's your turn.  How does TREE inspire you?  I hope you play along this week. Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

We are sponsored this week by Stamplorations.

I am also linking this card up at the following challenges:  Just Add Ink #291: Just Add 'C' (Christmas); Simon Says Monday Holly Jolly Stamping; Simon Says Wednesday Let it Snow; The Paper Players #274 Let it Snow; and AAA Cards #54 Christmas.

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at ColourQ.   We have a new color scheme for you this week. and it inspired me to make a card set for a friend whose birthday is later this week.  I found some patterned paper with the exact colors I needed, and added gold die cut words.

I also put a small strip of patterned paper down the left side of the envelope front.

The pattern paper on each of the three cards is cut with a different sort of stitched rectangle die, and each one has a different die cut word cut from Gold Foil card stock.

I made three more exactly the same, using a different patterned paper.

Please head on over to the ColourQ challenge blog to see more inspiration from the design team. I hope you will join in the fun and play along this week.

Tag You're It #36

Hello and happy Friday.  It's time for a new tag inspiration at Tag You're It, and this week I am the inspiration.  Eek--I am a little bit nervous, as I have never had to be the inspiration for anything before.

Here is my tag...looking all official-like.

I die cut and stamped several images from PTI City Scene (one of my all time favorite sets), and combined them all to make a shaker tag with an inky blended sky--suitable for dressing up a holiday gift.

I tried to give lots of avenues for inspiration--buildings, city scenes, sponged background, shakers, even a car with a tree on top.  What I never thought would be inspirational, and it seems to be the favorite element to CASE, is that Santa's sleigh flying through the night.

Please, (please, please) play along with this week and make a tag inspired by my tag.  Don't forget to tell how you were inspired.

Want more inspiration?  Head over to the Tag You're It blog to see more inspiration from our team of designers and our guest designer, Tracy MacDonald.

Time Out #45...Reminder...Peace on Earth

Hello!  There is still time to play along with our challenge at Time Out.  This week, we are inspired by words:

Snowflakes are Winter's Butterflies

I was inspired to pull out my newest snowflake die and stamp set called Quilted Winter from PTI (again).  I also used this set for my first inspiration challenge here.    I chose a non traditional color scheme of Berry Sorbet, Aqua Mist and Tropical Teal.  First I stamped my sentiment, and then I surrounded it by a flurry of snowflakes.

I hope that you will take some Time Out to play along with us over the next two weeks.  Please see the Time Out challenge blog to see more inspiration from the Design Team and our Guest Designer Ashwini.

CASology Week #175: Pie

This is my second post for today.  If you are looking for my ColourQ post,  please click here.

Hello and happy Tuesday.  Time for another challenge at CASology.  This week, our cue word is Pie. How about some apple pie?

I die cut and stamped some apples, and used a wood grain impression plate and some bamboo sequins to remind me of a tree.  I used PTI Plaid Builder stamps to create my own plaid on the right side of my card.

Now, it's your turn.  How does PIE inspire you?  I hope you play along this week. Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

We are sponsored this week by Serendipity Stamps.

I am also linking this card up at Less is More #252, where the recipe is FRUIT.

ColourQ #320...feel better soon

If you are looking for my CASology post, please click here.

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at ColourQ.   We have a new color scheme for you this week. and it inspired me to make a Get Well card.  How will you be inspired?

Because two of the colors this week are light and dark shades of the same color (pink), I thought that a two step stamp would work well for this color scheme.  I really liked the sketch at Sweet Sunday Sketch #297, so I used that as a basis for my card.

I die cut and stamped the flowers from PTI Brushed Blooms.  I used Hibiscus Burst and Sweet Blush inks as my pinks and Spring Moss as my Summer Starfruit.  The wood paper is a pattern from an older MME pad I have had forever.  I rotated the sketch 180 degrees just to mix it up a bit.

Please head on over to the ColourQ challenge blog to see more inspiration from the design team. I hope you will join in the fun and play along this week.

Happy Little Stamper December Sketch Challenge

It is time for a new challenge at Happy Little Stampers Sketch Challenge.  Here is the sketch we have for you this month:

I used PTI Warmest Wishes stamps and dies to create a scene for my focal point, and used Copic markers to color it in.  The stars are coated with Glossy Accents for extra shine.

Please visit the Happy Little Stampers Sketch Challenge blog for more ideas and inspiration for this sketch.  I hope you will play along.  You have the entire month of November.

The 12 Kits of Occasions: November, 2015

It's time for our November 12 Kits of Occasions post.  I cannot believe how quickly this year is marching along.  This month, Kim is our hostess, and she sent a wonderful kit, filled with cute and fun supplies.  Her theme was 'Have a Holly Jolly Christmas and a Festive Fall'.  I just loved everything Kim sent, especially these adorable MFT mice.  I actually pretended that they were rats, in honor of the sweet pet rats we had a few years ago.

Here is a peek at the kit Kim sent out.

There are a lot of blogs to hop along to, so I'll get right to my cards.

I used so many of the cute images in this kit, and had such fun doing it.  Thanks so much, Kim, for sending such a wonderful kit.

That's it for me today.  Please visit us over at the 12 Kits of Occasions blog, where you can see a list of all the other designers and click over to their blogs.  You can also see the two lucky gals who Kim invited to Guest Design with us this month.
