World Card Making Day

Hello and happy day after World Card Making Day.  I think this may be the first time in a while that I actually got to make some cards on the actual date of this very important holiday.  Although, around here with me, every day is kind of like my own personal World Card Making Day.

My first card is inspired by the challenge at Less is More #429: One Layer Cheers, and I was reminded about this fabulous Tim Holtz Wine Blueprint set by Guest Designer Amy's card here.  The stamps are pretty detailed, so I did not need to do much with this card, other than stamp a sentiment from PTI Uncorked and do a bit of coloring.  I am also entering this card at AAA Cards #175: One Layer.  I skipped the optional twist of coffee, because.... WINE!!

Next up is a card inspired by Color Hues #3: Gold and Cream.  My original idea was totally different, but when I was looking for something else, I came across this deer cut from gold shimmer paper, and decided it would be perfect for this challenge.  I had my deer leap over a cityscape by Ellen Hutson, and added a sentiment from PTI that I embossed in gold.  I am also entering this card at Inkspiration #223: Angle It because of the trajectory of the deer's angled leap.

The white die cut on this next card was what I was looking for when I found the gold leaping deer.  I had an idea to pair 'think' and 'pink' to participate in this months Poppy Challenge: Think Pink.  I sponged Distress Oxide in Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar (my pink) and paired it with this sentiment (my think).  Featured on this card is the Poppystamps Country Houses die.

This next card is the simplest card of the day, but probably took the longest to make, as I had to start and restart, and change my mind, etc.  Sometimes the simplest cards are like that.  But, finally I found a version that I liked and made one without any mistakes.  My inspiration for this card was the challenge at ITP Melissa's Fab Friday to create a Joy project.  I pulled out PTI Winter Fox, intending to use that cute fox, and then went in a totally different direction, and just used some of the sentiment stamps.

Last up for today is this holiday card, inspired by the bird holiday card at Ink to Paper.  I took my inspiration from:  the bird, the cover die, the ink blending, the colors and the holiday scene.  I used ITP Feathered Friends Mini die, the PTI Winter Floral cover plate and a sentiment from PTI Snowflake Flurries.  I am also entering this card at CAS Christmas October Challenge: Christmas Bird.

I am also entering all of these cards at Simon Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes and WWC291: Anything Goes.

That's it for me today.  Stay safe and keep crafting.

My Crafty Weekend

Hello and happy Sunday.  I have had lots of crafty energy, so I will just jump right in.  First up is a card using the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #338.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Stamp It.

Next up is a fun, wine-themed card, using SSS Time For Wine.  I chuckle every time I see this sentiment.  I am entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #351:  Make Your Mark, Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #143:  L is for Liquor and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge:  Clear (wine glasses are clear).

For my next card, I was inspired by the challenge at Memory Box #53: Framed.  When I was looking through my Memory Box stash, I saw this Birch Tree stencil, and had this out of the box idea to have the die cut deer framed by the trees.  I am also entering this card at AAA Birthday #5:  Use a Stencil.

The challenge at Laurie's Fabulous Favorites is Fall, and I used one of my all time favorite PTI stamps, Harvest Berries for this card.  I used the color scheme at CAS Colours & Sketches #337, and I am also entering this card at The Male Room #119:  Autumn.

The challenge at CAS on Friday #163 is Die Cut Words, and that inspired my next card.  I used some really wide washi tape on the front of this card, and really like how quick and easy it was to get these gorgeous florals.

Next up (and last of all) are two cards I made using The Greetery Bountiful Wreath stamps and dies.  This first card uses the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #401 and the colors from Color Throwdown #559.

Last up, is a card inspired by the color scheme at The Paper Players #458.

My Crafty Roundup

I have finally had a crafty weekend!  Here's what I made:

I am entering this card at PTI Make it Monday #349: Negative Die Cut Backgrounds.  I used a die from the Shakers and Sprinkles kit, which I had completely forgotten about.  I am also entering this card at Just Us Girls #473: LOVE and Simon Says Monday Challenge: Love is in the Air.

My next card was inspired by the sketch at Just Add Ink #442 and The Paper Players #427: Love is in the Air.

Last of the 'love' cards is a card I made inspired by the challenges at Poppystamps #53: Love Me Do and Addicted to Stamps and More #326: Anything Goes.  I used the Party Lanterns die from Poppystamps for this card, and cut my lanterns out of a paint chip, which is how I got the nice ombre colors.  I am also entering this card at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #127: V is for Valentine.  Still not a snarky card, but this is the least mushy of my 3 valentines today.

Next up is a card inspired by the sketch at  MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge#422.  I rotated the sketch by 90 degrees and used some of my newest MFT wine stamps and dies.

I used Copics to color this festive penguin, and am entering this card at Day 1 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  It's my first time playing along, and I am going to try to participate as much as I can.

I am also entering this card at CAS(E) this Sketch #307, Addicted to CAS # 152: Birds, CAS on Friday #150: Birthday.

Last up is a pair of black and white birthday cards inspired by the challenge at Seize the Birthday

I made a second version of this card, and am entering it at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.
