My Crafty Week

I'm playing along with MUSE #283, where my bestie Kim has this card to inspire us.  Isn't it cute?  I saw her make it!

Kim's Inspiration Card

I was inspired by Kim's background stamping, and the fun animals randomly stamped.

I picked a card from many years ago to redo for PTI Transformation Tuesday Challenge.  This is truly one of those 'what was I thinking' cards.

My Original Card

I changed the orientation of the card, used stamping instead of die cutting for my main design, and used colors that I thought worked well together.  I used the photo at Addicted to Stamps and More #310 to inspire my colors.  I must admit to liking my new card much more than the original.

My Transformed Card

Next up is a card I made with Kim's supplies when she was visiting.  I am entering it at The Card Concept #98, where my style is Clean and Simple, and also at Seize the Birthday where the topping is Die Cuts or Punches.

I had birds in mind when I pulled out these die cut bird houses, something I cut when Jacquie was visiting and brought some of her supplies to share.  I am entering this card at Addicted to CAS #145: Tweet.

This week's Make it Monday #336: Faux Gilded Leaves was such a fun technique, and I loved Laurie's card so much, I tried to recreate it as best I could.  I am also entering this card at Just Us Girls #459 and Just Add Ink #427: Just add 'K'  The 'K' here is kraft.

Next up is a birthday banner, inspired by the challenge colors at Where Creativity Meets C9 #25, and the Use Those Sequins challenge at CAS-ual Fridays CFC#208.

I loved the fun crafty inspiration photo at Inkspirational #170, and made this card to send to a crafty friend some day.

Last, but not least is a holiday card using a poppystamps die for Poppystamps Challenge #48: Anything Goes.

My Crafty Roundup

This is a photo heavy post, so I'm going to get right into it.  I'll start with what I think may be my favorite card of the week.  This card took a while to construct, but I am happy with the way it came out.  I based it on something I saw somewhere, but cannot find again.  I white embossed the skyline from Concord & 9th City Stacks on various shades of grey paper and layered them up over a sky that I made with Distress Oxide ink and water.

I am entering this card at Where Creativity Meets C9 #24: Anything Goes.

Next up is a birthday card with an adorable elephant die that spouts 'real' water from Poppystamps.  I am entering this card at Poppystamps Challenge #47: Make a Splash, Freshly Made Sketches #349, CAS Colours & Sketches #284, and Seize the Birthday: Water.

My next card is inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #284.  I used the cute bunny and stars from CAS-ual Fridays Somebunny.

The inspiration photo from Inkspirational #167 had me drooling at the thought of ice cream.  Instead of eating ice cream, I finished this card, that I had started using some Hero Arts stamps I borrowed from Kim.

I used some stamps from Altenew Sketchy Cities America to make a few quick thank you card sets.  These are great to have around, and give just the right amount of space for my kids to write their "thank you's".

Featuring Boston....these are embossed in red...entering at Addicted to CAS #142: Masculine.

Featuring New York....these are embossed in silver...entering at Addicted to Stamps and More #304: CAS.

Next up is a card celebrating friendship, and I am entering it at AAA Cards #121: Friendship.

Still with me?  This card uses the 'Fast Watercolors' technique taught by Jennifer McGuire and is the challenge at Just Us Girls #453.  I am also entering it at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Distress it and Where Creativity Meets C9 #24: Anything Goes.

I used Lily by Concord & 9th and Abandoned Coral and Twisted Citron Distress Inks.

I am ending with a card made with the same stamps as my first card--Concord & 9th City Stacks.  I am definitely most obsessed with this stamp set these days.  A quicker and simpler card than my first card--black embossing and coloring with pencils.  I am entering this card at The Male Room #91: Birthday and Where Creativity Meets C9 #24: Anything Goes.

That's it for me today.

My Crafty Weekend

I had some time to play in some fun challenges over the weekend.  First up is a card inspired by the photo at AAA Cards #75.  I was inspired by the bright and bold colors and the pinwheel shape.

I inked up Quilted Summer for the very first time, remembering that the pattern of the quilt looked kind of like a pinwheel.  I am also linking this card up at Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes.

My next card is inspired by the photo at Fusion Challenge.  I was inspired by the colors of the chairs in the photo.  Inkspirational #119 asks us to use 5 or more stamps--1-flowers; 2-stems; 3-sentiment; 4-butterfly #1; 5-butterfly #2.  All the stamps for this card are from the same set as the quilt card above.

Ice cream is my very favorite dessert, so I needed to play along at The Card Concept #59.  I used bitty dot paper in colors similar to the inspiration photo.

With 2 of my besties on the design team, it was only a matter of time before I got around to playing in Sugar Peas Design Mix it Up Challenge.  I decided to play with the sketch.

I cut a bunch of extra flowers--Bitty Bouquets, and stamped enough while my Misti was all set up to make a little card set.  Always nice to have them on hand for last minute gifts.

I am entering this card at CAS Colours & Sketches #194.

I am entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #214: Clean and Simple.

And one more card, just to round out the set.  All sentiments are stamped in HA Soft Granite ink and are from various PTI Keep it Simple.
