My Crafty Week

Lucky me....I was able to sneak in some crafty time this week.  First up is a card for PTI Create Along With Us.  I was inspired by this card by Betsy.  I sponged Distress Oxide Salty Ocean ink and then splattered with water to get that watery look, and used the Waves cover plate inside my window.  The birds are from Mountains Majesty and the lighthouse is from Guiding Lights.

I am also entering this card at Seize the Birthday where the theme is Beachy.

I completed a card I had started at Tracey's house to enter into the Rainbow challenge at Addicted to CAS #138.

My next 2 cards are also made with things I stamped and die cut at Tracey's house.  They both use MFT Tweet Wishes.

I was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #341 and I stayed true to the sketch, until I decided to add that third yellow bird, as the card felt like something was missing.  I guess there really is something to the 'rule of threes'.  I am also entering this card at Less is More #373:  Friendship.

I colored a few more of those Tweet Wishes critters, this time inspired by the colors at Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #448.  I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #296: Anything Goes.

Last up is a card I made using a fun new stamp from Concord & 9th called Sketched Stripes Background.  You can rotate the stamp (or the paper) and get a fun geometric design with lots of different sized rectangles.  I am entering this card at AAA Cards #117: Geometrics.

CASology Week #299...Marine

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is MARINE.  I decided to go nautical for this one, although if I had any military type stamps, I might have done that instead.  San Diego, where I live, is a huge military town, with one of the largest Marine bases around.

I used a lighthouse from PTI Guiding lights and built my scene around that.  The water is some of the negative die cuts from a wave cover plats, randomly arranged to look like water.

Now it's your turn.  How does MARINE inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

CASology Week #247: Flow

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is flow.  I thought about water flow and the flow of waves.  Perhaps that is because I live so close to the ocean.

I created a little scene with three simple sail boats.  I kept my card CAS by leaving a lot of white space between the waves and also limiting the number of colors I used.  I curved my sentiment to follow the curve of the top wave.

Now it's your turn.  How does FLOW inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

I am also linking this card up at Simon Says Monday Challenge: The Great Outdoors, Simon Says Wednesday: Anything Goes and Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

I am entering this card at Just Us Girls #375:  New, Simon Says Monday Challenge: Start Afresh, and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: New Something.

My second card was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #203, The Male Room #51: Anything Goes, and Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes.

Nautical Happy Birthday

I am just popping in quickly to share a card I made for several challenges.  I used the Gradient Watercolor Die Cuts technique taught in this week's Make it Monday #251 video.  The die I used was the PTI Waves cover plate, and I used a variety of Zig water color pens.

I am also entering this card at Curtain Call Sail On, AAA Cards #66: Watercolour, CAS Mixup June Challenge: Stamping+die cuts+your choice (water coloring), Addicted to Stamps and More Anything Goes and Seize the Birthday without topping.

ColourQ #344.... Happy Birthday

Hello and welcome to another week of ColourQ.  I think I was influenced by those colorful fish in the inspiration photo, because I went nautical for my card this week.

I used Guiding Lights stamps and dies and the Waves cover plate.

Please head on over to the ColourQ challenge blog to see more inspiration from the design team. I hope you will join in the fun and play along this week.

ColourQ #331....Happy Birthday Old Salt

If you are looking for my CASology post, please click here.

Happy Tuesday and welcome to a new challenge at ColourQ.

We have a new color scheme for you today--beautiful blues and greens together that just made me think of the ocean.

I used the PTI Waves cover plate die and cut it from each of the 4 colors, then pieced it back together using a bit of each color.  I only used about 1/3 of the die, and that became my ocean.

I die cut and stamped a little sailboat, and then added one of my very favorite masculine/nautical birthday sentiments (Waltzingmouse Ocean Bound).

Please head on over to the ColourQ challenge blog to see more inspiration from the design team. I hope you will join in the fun and play along this week.

I am also entering this card at Seize the Birthday Anything Goes and Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes.
