Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology. This week, our cue word is
Spin. There are so many ways to interpret this cue word, and many things that spin.
I have been going to spin classes at my local gym for at least 10 years--3 times a week, sometimes more. Yes, I am probably addicted, and I get some of my best card ideas when my mind wanders as my legs pump away. So it was only natural that I thought of a bicycle for my card.
I finally broke out Avery Elle Roll with It and inked up one of the bicycle images. With the front of the bike already off the page and the streamers and balloons flying to the rear, I hoped to show that this bike is moving.
I have made many friends at spin class over the years, and this will be the perfect birthday card for one of them.
I am also entering this card at AAA Cards #59: Embossing, Seize the Birthday Anything Goes and Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes.
Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.
We are sponsored this week by Cindy B Designs.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure one of your spinning friends will be impressed with your card making talent, Joyce. It will be perfect for her as it is for the challenge.
ReplyDeleteWow, Joyce spin classes three times per week for ten years? You ROCK (or should I say rock and ROLL?)! I went to a spin class once...we won't speak of it, let's leave it at that. I actually do like to ride my bike, however, and I really love this cheerful card! Love the movement as the bike rides off the card!
ReplyDeleteJoyce your cards are always so wonderful!! I wanna be just like you when I grow up!! Thank you for the great tip on CAASology about stamping a larger image just off the paper a bit! I really love the motion it creates!

ReplyDeleteHey Joyce!! I love how your bicycle is running off the card. I need to try that technique. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous Joyce! You really captured the movement of the bicycle - especially with the balloons trailing behind - brilliant! It is great to see that you linked up at AAA cards too! Jill
ReplyDeleteSuper cuteness! thanks for sharing with us at AAA Cards!
ReplyDeleteOh my stars! I LOVE this bike stamp exponentially! I'm not sure if I've told you this, but: My husband and I are both officials (commssaires, *technically*) for road bike, mountain bike and cyclocross races in Alberta; my husband is also a National Commissaire in Canada, and plans to attend an Elite Commissaire course in June. He also competes (road and ‘cross), when he can, as well. I don't race (road bikes, in a group? No WAY!)but love being part of the sport from an officiating standpoint. Our season is 'this close' to starting, and we're booked with many races, from May through to November, in Alberta and BC. Anyway: long story to let you know your card is AWESOME! Your spin friends will be thrilled!
ReplyDeleteI've checked TE, but apparently the set is no longer available. I wonder if I ask Taylor, maybe she can find one for me. Coming back to gaze and admire at this gem once I finish my catch-up...
Hugs~c
