All I Did Was CASE

I had lots of new goodies to play with this weekend, plenty of crafting time, but no good ideas.  Not one to let that stop me, I spent the weekend CASing, and I still had a crafty good time.

First up are three cards using this week's technique at Make it Monday #166:  Debossed Stamped Images.  I am also entering them at Addicted to CAS #39:  Texture, and Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes.  I cased myself and made a get well card for a friend going into surgery next week.  I just changed up the color scheme, sentiment, and flipped the panels over.

I practically remade Dawn's card using the colors from ColourQ #243.  I can really tell I am going to love playing with the butterflies in Beautiful Life.  I don't know why my purple is showing up so dark in the photo.

And almost the same card again in this week's Color Throwdown #294.  I'll also enter this one at Less is More #174 to use more than one stamp.  I used stamps from Life is Beautiful and Wet Paint III on this card.

I also played around with Summer Sweetness--the new popsicle set from PTI that I was most looking forward to playing with.  This card is inspired by Laurie's card here.  I used Memento Luxe pigment inks on these stamps, and the coverage is so great.  These are the type of stamps that I often have a hard time getting a good impression with dye inks.  The green popsicle is popped up and coated with a thick layer of glossy accents.

This next card was inspired by Lizzie's card here--I loved her idea to show the popsicles partly eaten and also to stamp the little fruit wedge on top.

Finally, two Father's Day cards.  The first one is inspired by my own card here--thanks to Kim for sending me the Star Cover plate die cuts.

My final card uses the color scheme at Colour Me #22.  I was inspired by this card to order the Linked Dies from CAS-ual Fridays, and used the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #78.

That's it for me for the weekend.  I hope to be able to make something more original in the coming week.

Thank You and Sending Well Wishes

My first card today uses the debossing stamped images technique demonstrated by Dawn in this week's Make it Monday #166.  I chose to work with Fancy Folk Art after seeing Lee Anne's beautiful card here.  The debossing technique works better using bigger dies that don't need to be run through the Big Shot multiple times.

Here is a close up to show more of the debossing and the Stickes, too.

I am also entering this card at Addicted to CAS #39:Texture  Simon Says Stamp Monday Artsy Stamping Fun, and Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes.

My next card uses ColourQ #243 colors and the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #78.  I am also entering it at Less is More #173 to use a die cut--I actually used several Memory Box Ribbon Candy Border die cuts, Simon Says Stamp Monday Artsy Stamping Fun and Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes.

As soon as I saw the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch, I knew that I would use my Ribbon Candy Border die.  I cut the die out of all four colors and just nested them together. My sentiment is from Wet Paint.

ColourQ, MIM, Color Throwdown and One Layer Wednesday

Hi there.  I have a couple of cards for a bunch of challenges today.  I think I am finally getting the hang of combining challenges.  My first card is for this week's ColourQ cQc #178, where I have used glitter for 3 of the 5 colors, and this week's Make it Monday #105:  Glitter Trim.  Dawn used her Xyron in the video, but I adhered 1 inch wide scortape to my card stock, and ran that through my Big Shot with the Double Ended Banner Die.

My next card is for this week's One Layer Wednesday challenge OLW #129:  All in a Row-Create a Card with a Row of Anything.  I am also playing along with this week's Simon Says Stamp and Show to use a stamp you love but don't use.  This challenge has me digging out old favorites that haven't seen much ink.  I pulled out Garden Variety--a set I had to have at the time, but haven't used much.  And, because I am trying to use some of my older, forgotten inkpads, I inked the watering can in Brilliance Platinum Planet--a shimmery silver color that qualifies for this week's CAS-ual Fridays CFC91:  Hi Ho Silver.  It is a bit hard to see in this picture, but the center watering can is embossed with clear over the silver.

My last card for today uses the colors for this week's Color Throwdown CTD231.

All these cards will be entered into this week's Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge.

Crafting Just For Fun

Everyone in my household has either been gone or busy this weekend, which gave me a chance to play around in my craft room.  I got to make cards for some of my favorite challenges, which I have ignored for the last two weeks as I got caught up in the Papertrey 6th Anniversary festivities.

First up are three cards for this week's CAS-ual Friday's challenge CFC90:  Black & White Plus 1.

This next card is also for Dynamic Duos DD#40, and I used PTI Hawaiian Shores in place of Tempting Turquoise, and skipped the dessert option of clouds.  I had completely forgotten that I bought Friends Till the End and the dies off the PTI Forum, and I took it out today to play a bit.  Those dies make creating masks for those detailed flowers so easy.

And, finally my third card adds CAS(E) this Sketch CTS#15 to the list of challenges.  This particular card was inspired by Lisa's cards here.   She reminded me of the technique we learned in our Clean & Simple Card Making class about how to curve a sentiment around a circle, and she even showed me a perfect sentiment for that technique.

I have one more card for this week's CAS(E) this Sketch CTS#15.  This card is also for this week's ColourQ cQc176.

I stamped the sentiment on a strip of vellum, and then adhered it inside the cut out circle, so it would run over the top of the stamped image.

I am entering my next card into this week's Simon Says Stamps challenge, which is White on White, and to use a Cuttlebug folder if possible.

Last, but not least--I saw that Kim had cased Renee's card from yesterday.  That sounded like fun to me, so I cased both of them.

Well, that's it for me today.  I think I'm going to close up the craft room for the evening, and wait for my daughter to get home from her school trip.

Papertrey 6th Anniversary and Make it Monday #103

I have spent the entire day being crafty, and have quite a lot to show for it.  The PTI Anniversary contests have been such fun.  I never know what I am going to do each day, until I check out Nicole's web site.  Today, we had a sketch challenge.

I made one card for each sketch:

Sketch No. 1

Sketch No. 2

Sketch No. 3

Sketch No. 4

Sketch No. 5

Some little treat holders with the Lunchbox Note die, Heart Prints die, and vellum for this week's Make it Monday #103.

And, two cards casing Maile Belles for the Design Team Favorites challenge.  I think I feel the beginning of a card set coming on.

That's it for me.  Please let me know if you have any questions about supplies.  It's too late to write them all up now.
