Empowering Women

I was so inspired by all the beautiful cards I saw on the International Women's Day blog hop yesterday that I decided to play along today.  I used some beautiful new stamps from Ink to Paper called She Blooms--I just love the look of this gorgeous dress, and it was kind of a treat not to have to color, as there were various layering stamps that created the entire image.  There are some wonderful and inspiring quotes in this set..not sure who this quote is from, but I really like it.

I am also entering this card at CAS on Friday #200: Spring, Rainbow Challenge #27: Judiciously Jade, The Paper Players #531: Spring, and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Add Some Green.

The starting point for my next card is an inspiring quote from Simon Says Stamp Hand Lettered Encouragement.  I really love this quote.  I used the Old Rose stencil from STAMPlorations to create a background for my card, sponging the roses first in Distress Oxide Spun Sugar and adding Abandoned Coral to the flower centers.

My Crafty Round Up

Warning....lots of card photos...I had a super crafty weekend.

First up is this birthday card featuring circles (balloons and focal point) for MFT Birthday Project, Seize the Birthday #187: Spring Fling (colors and little chickies) and Addicted to CAS #183: Animal.

I am playing along at Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #121: Birthday Theme for I think the first time, using the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches #366 and the colors from Color Throwdown #589.

My next card is inspired by the challenge at Ink to Paper Project Reachout: Keep Swimming and the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #368.

Next is a card going to one of my friends who is a health worker super hero, and I am entering it at the new Seize the Birthday/Seize the Heroes #188 and MFT Color Challenge #139.  I used a band aid die from PTI to ground my super heros.

Another encouragement card with the same sentiment as this card from earlier in the week, and I am also linking it up at Cupcake Inspirations #491.

I am getting a Holiday Headstart with the latest challenge from Stay Crafty with Hero #5, and I am also entering this card at A Blog Named Hero Water Coloring challenge.

And, now I have two sympathy cards, as I try to rebuild my stash of these important, yet hard to make cards.  I am entering this card at Perfectly CAS #8: Masking.

My final card is very similar to the card I made earlier in the week here, and I am also entering it at AAA Cards #163.

Well, that's it for me today.  It is amazing how crafty I can be when I am stuck in the house.

Encouragement and Sympathy

I am most in need of encouragement and sympathy cards these days, so that is what I focused on this week.  I fell in love with this sentiment from Picket Fence Grace Puppy.  I made a few of these cards to send out.

I am entering this card at Color Throwdown #589 and Addicted to CAS #183: Animal.

This week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #431 inspired this sympathy card.

I made another sympathy card, this time inspired by the challenge at AAA Cards #163.

Last up is another encouragement card.  I completely forgot about this sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Hand Lettered Encouragement, and stumbled upon it when I was looking for something else.  I think I'll try to make a few more cards with it.  It seems to capture what is happening today perfectly.

I am entering this card at The Paper Players #486 (white is my neutray), Inkspirational #210: Spring and Cupcake Inspiration #491: Sentiment Main Focus.
