The Best Blind Date Ever: PTI-Style

When I was single, I went on quite a few blind dates.  It seemed as though all my married friends felt the need to fix me up with that special guy they knew.  But that was a long time ago.  I have been married now for 15 years, and dated my hubby for several years before that.

But today, I went on a blind date.  My first in a long time.  And, before I left the house, my husband wished me luck.  My daughter asked me why I was wearing cheek and eyelid make-up.  I was nervous.  What would we talk about?  What if she didn't like me?  What if I didn't like her?

Well, what's going on, you might wonder?  This morning, I met one of my dear PTI Forum Friends in person for the first time.   Cathy Weber and I met at a coffee shop in Orange County, which is about half way between our Southern California homes.  And, when she said she  had to leave, I couldn't believe we had been chatting for almost 3 hours!  She is sweet and adorable in person (so petite), and we just had the best time.  I can imagine Stamp-A-Faire being like that, times 200.  What a great day.

Here is a picture of Cathy and me:
Cathy is on the left
She spoiled me with lots of gifts and hand made goodies.  I will just show pictures of two.

She made me this card:
She was kind enough to use some of the polymer clay buttons I had made for her a while back.  She used the Honey Bees stamp set, which is how we 'met' on-line (I posted a request to split this set, and she responded)

She also gave me this box of chocolate:

I had such a nice day today.  Definitely the best blind date ever.

Thanks for visiting.
