CASology Week #240: Foliage

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is foliage.

I decided to have a little fun with the word this week, and stamped my foliage in some unusual colors.  I grounded my potted plants with a score line.

Now it's your turn.  How does FOLIAGE inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

CASology Week #196: Move

This is my second post today.  If you are looking for my ColourQ post, please click here.

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is
Move.  I thought of all the stamps I have for things that move--like cars, buses, trucks, airplanes, butterflies--the list goes on.  But, I have a lot of friends who seem to be moving house lately, so I went with that interpretation.  This card already has an intended destination to a friend in the midst of a move.

I used images from PTI Topiary Trio and a sentiment from Putting Down Roots.

Now, it's your turn.  How does Move inspire you?  I hope you play along this week. Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

Birthday Cards and More

I am playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch and Tag You're it, who have joined forces this week.  How fun is that?

I made a card with a tag, and then a coordinating tag to wrap up a little parcel of cards as a birthday gift.

The challenge at this week's Make it Monday is all about creative card borders.  I used Topiary Trio stamps and dies for my card.

I loved the colors of this week's ColourQ cQc #253 and immediately rushed to make a card inspired by these cards by Lisa of Lisa's Life Lines.  She called them "split cards" and I just thought they were so cool.  Lisa used patterned paper, but I decided to stamp my own patterned paper using Circle Scribbles.

Part of the front is cut away, and the pattern is actually on the base.

4 layers of Wet Paint die cut word 'happy'.

Here is what it looks like opened up.

Fun, right?  I could see making a set of these with a bunch of the Wet Paint die cut words.

I am going to enter all three of these cards into this week's Seize the Birthday--anything goes without toppings.  I sure hope I have a chance to make a yellow birthday card before the linky ends on this challenge.

Last is a card I made using a Cottage stamp from Serendipity.  I thought that the theme was CAS, but when I looked again (after I already made the card), I realized that the theme is actually I Miss You.  I think this card could  probably work for that theme--I miss you and want you home sweet home.  I stamped the Cottage Image on water color paper cut with a stitched rectangle, and then water colored it.

That's it for me today.
