ColourQ #351....Happy Birthday

If you are looking for my CASology post, please click here.

It's time for another color challenge at ColourQ.

We have a bold and bright color scheme for you this week.  What will you create?

I decided to make a birthday card, using some new Paper Clippings stamps and dies from PTI.  I normally use gold as an accent color, but decided to make it the star of the show on this card.

I am also linking this card up at Seize the Birthday where the toppings option is Bold and Bright.

Please head over to the ColourQ blog to see more inspiration from the Design Team.  I hope you will play along this week.

A Trio of Birthday Cards

I've got a trio of birthday cards today--still feeling pretty patriotic after July 4th...

I played with some new stamps and dies from PTI--Paper Clippings: Birthday for my first 2 cards. This card is inspired by the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #244, where I turned the sketch on its side.

My red, white and blue color scheme is inspired by challenges at Curtain Call:  Cherry Bomb, CAS-ual Fridays #151 and Simon Says Monday.

I stamped a couple of these cake towers while I had everything set up in my Misti.

I am entering this birthday card at Addicted to Stamps and More #201: Anything Goes.

I pulled out a super oldie--PTI Spring Doodles for my last birthday card today.

I am entering this card at CAS on Sunday #86:  Black and white and one other color, Inkspirational #112: Anything Goes with Red, and Seize the Birthday where the toppings are bees, birds and butterflies.

Time Out #55...Congratulations

It's time for a new challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this week is a theme challenge with an optional twist.

The theme is celebrations with the optional twist of die cutting or fussy cutting.

I made a card to congratulate my neice who will be going to Tufts next year.  I decided to twist both ways--I used a paper clippings die from PTI and fussy but a Lawn Fawn elephant (which is the school mascot).

I am also linking up at AAA Cards #62:  Anything Goes.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Elizabeth.  We are sponsored this week by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.
