CASology Week #333...Bounce

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is BOUNCE.  I was thinking of the expression a bouncing baby, and also that kangaroos bounce.

Now it's your turn.  How does BOUNCE inspire you?

As always, remember the following CAS guidelines when creating your design:
  1. One main image
  2. Lots of open space, uncluttered
  3. Limited layers & embellishments
  4. Quick & easy to recreate (Note: It may take a while to create a design you like, but once you have that design, making more should be a piece of cake!)

I hope you play along this week.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the our Guest Designer, Bobby, and the CASology design team.  Our sponsor this week is Uniko.

Happy Birthday and Welcome Baby

Yay--I had some crafty time today.  Here is what I made.....Make it Monday #280 challenge is 'Outside the Box' and I used some new Beautiful Berries Spring stamps as my flowers and a woodgrain background stamp as the "box".

I was inspired by the sketch at The Flower Challenge #7, and am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Happy Birthday and Addicted to Stamps and More #236: Anything Goes.

I was inspired by the sketch at Retro Rubber #59 and used some 4 or 5 year old Stamps from Hero Arts and Paper Smooches on my card.

My colors were inspired by the colors at CAS Colours & Sketches #217 and Less is More #322: 3 Pastels.  I am also linking this up at AAA Cards #87: Shiny Spring, where the colors are spring, and the glossy accents on the eyes are my shiny option.

CASology Week 145: Shape

Hello and happy Tuesday.  It's time for another challenge at CASology.  This week, our cue word is SHAPE.  Lots of ways to go with this cue word.  I decided to make a shaped card.  I had some card bases and fronts that I had cut way back when I borrowed a friend's PTI onesie die.  I used that to trace the onesie onto some Sweet Blush paper and cut it out by hand.

I used an old Market Street background stamp to get some tone on tone pink to add interest to my solid card front, and then added these sweet Paper Smooches elephants that I paper pieced with some Pebbles Lakeside paper.

I am also entering this card over at Paper Smooches Sparks where the challenge this week is Anything Goes.

So, what do you think?  Will you play along this week and make something inspired by the word SHAPE?  Please remember to keep your card Clean and Simple.

Head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

Saturday Update

Hello and happy Saturday.  My first card is a shaker baby card for Paper Smooches Anything Goes and CAS(E) This Sketch #105.  I'm also playing along at Simon Says Monday Old (Paper Smooches A Little Lovin) and New (Silver Micro Beads) and Simon Says Wednesday New.   I paper pieced the elephants and used the die from PTI Sending You to create my window.

This is my second time this month playing at Stamplorations--this time in their January Stamps and Inks challenge.  I used Tree Silhouettes and CASED this beautiful card by Sharron.  I tried to copy Sharron's water coloring, and I think I still need a bit more practice.

One more entry at Make it Monday #196:  Colorful Card Corners.  I just could not resist making this card again, this time in purple.

I did something a little different this time--I have seen stamping that continues on to the back side of the card, and decided to try that also.  I am in love with the stamp Kim bought for me to use on the backs of my cards.

Last up is a get well card I made using the colors at this week's ColourQ cQc #274.  I used the Leaf Pattern Cover Up die by Lil Inker--cut it 4 times in 4 different colors and then pieced the leaves back in.  Not sure I'd do that again...

That's it for me today.

Welcome Baby

I have wanted the Paper Smooches set containing this sweet pair of elephants forever.  Last week I said to myself--'self, why would you want something forever that costs $15.  Just get it already'.  So I did.  I love it when conversations with myself go so well.

The challenge at Addicted to CAS is baby, and Paper Smooches has an Everything Goes Challenge, and so my cards were born (haha).  I used the sketch from RetroSketches #104, and will be entering the pink card at Simon Says Wednesday where the challenge is Anything Goes with Pearls.

After I made this sweet girl card, I decided to make a boy version.  The patterned papers I used were from We R Memory Keepers 'Baby mine', and they had colors that worked for girls, boys and mystery babies, too.  I cut the Welcome baby sentiment in half so I could stack the words.
