Time Out #57...Reminder...Happy Birthday

Hello!  There is still time to play along in our challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge is 'inspired by words'.

'May All your weeds be wild flowers'

I used Canopy stamps by Avery Elle, stamped on water color paper and colored with Zig markers.

I am also linking this up at AAA Cards #65, where they are celebrating their 2nd birthday and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Anything Goes.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Julia and we are sponsored by Clearly Besotted.

PTI Blog Hop May 2016

Hello.  I have a quick post today where I am playing along at the PTI Blog Hop as well as AAA Card's 2nd Birthday.

I was inspired by the popsicles in the photo.  I used Summer Sweetness stamps and stamped a random pattern all over a piece of water color paper.  Then I sprayed the paper with lots of water.  After the paper dried, I stamped on the popsicle sticks and the sentiment.from Ombre Sentiments Birthday.

I am also linking this card up at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes.

CASology Week #199: Fast

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is
Fast.

I was thinking of how fast dragon flies flap their wings and buzz around, and then I remembered that my friend Anita sent me some die cut dragonflies, all the way from France.

Now, it's your turn.  How does FAST inspire you?  I hope you play along this week. Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

CASology Week #198: Stencil

This is my second post today.  If you are looking for my ColourQ post, please click here.

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is
Stencil.

I used a stencil from Stamplorations to create a backdrop for my butterfly focal point.

To create greater interest in my stencilled area, I first sponged a light coating of Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink, then sponged the same ink color over the same area using the Stamplorations Stencil.

I am also entering this card at Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes.

Now, it's your turn.  How does STENCIL inspire you?  I hope you play along this week. Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

ColourQ #342....So Happy For You

If you are looking for my CASology post, please click here.

Happy Tuesday and welcome to a new challenge at ColourQ.

Check out these new colors this week.  Gorgeous, right, and I think I need that top.

We got our colors late this week, so I needed something super quick.  I pulled out the Color Pop Butterflies kit from PTI and had this done in minutes.

I used Distress inks on the three different stencils in the kit, and then layered the accent stamps right on top, using the same ink colors.

The sentiment is three layers of die cut Night of Navy.

Please head on over to the ColourQ challenge blog to see more inspiration from the design team. I hope you will join in the fun and play along this week.

Happy Birthday Sandie

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDIE!!!

Today is a very special day because we are celebrating Sandie's birthday.  How about some cake?

Nonni has planned a surprise birthday celebration for our dear Sandie, and part of the birthday festivities is an extra, bonus Time Out celebration challenge.

The challenge:  CAS with the optional twist of PURPLE.

I made this card for Sandie because it has two of her favorite things--London and purple.  Can't you just see Sandie with her chic purple umbrella and purple boots?

I hope you will join in on the birthday fun.

Please head over to Sandie's blog and leave her some birthday love.

Then, play along with our bonus Time Out birthday challenge for Sandie by linking up a CAS card with the optional twist of purple.  This challenge is sponsored by Lynn, and the prize is a $25 GC to Simon Says Stamp.

Time Out #56...Reminder...With Sympathy

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is a CASE challenge, and we have this wonderful card by Kay Miller to inspire us.

I was inspired by Kay's color scheme of pink and grey, her flowers, and the frame that anchored her focal point.

I used flowers from MFT Fall Florals, and fussy cut them before adhering them into the Instant Camera Die from Lil Inker.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Marlena.

Balloons!

I have two birthday cards to post today, both featuring party balloons.

I used the inlaid die technique on these balloons, and I was inspired by the colors at CAS Colours and Sketches #172.

I am entering this card at AAA Cards #64 and Happy Little Stampers CAS challenge as both challenges ask for inlaid die cuts.

Lizzie has a great video over at PTI Make it Monday #248 where the challenge is blending through die cut masks.

I am also entering this card at Less is More #275: Pastel Colors, Simon Says Stamp Monday: Embossing and Seize the Birthday without toppings.
