Get Well and Birthday Cards

I have a quick post for today with 3 cards for various challenges.

My first card is inspired by this gorgeous card by Laura Bassen, and I am entering it into a new PTI challenge Create Along with Us, which is a way to create something inspired by the release count down projects.

Laura's Card

I used the same design as Laura, substituting Meadow Green stamps for her Vintage Linen flowers. I used a frame made from Shakers and Sprinkles dies and a sentiment from Asian Fusion.  I am also entering this card at Time Out #35: Nature with the option of animals.

I am entering this next card at Just Us Girls #301 where the challenge is Gold.  I stamped the dotty image from Good Times twice in Delicata Gold, and then covered the part where they overlap with a die cut sentiment word, celebrate.  Then, I stamped It's Your Birthday in Memento Luxe ink, so it would sit right on top of the gold stamping.

My last card for today is inspired by this photo at A Blog Named Hero.

I stamped and clear embossed Hero Arts Zig Zag Background and then sponged each section with a different color of the rainbow using Distress Inks.  My sentiment is from Hero Arts Chalkboard Birthday, and I stamped it in black on a scrap piece, cut it out, and popped it up with foam tape.  I am also entering this card at CAS-ual Fridays #141: Embossing.

I am also entering these cards at Simon Says Monday Anything Goes challenge.

CAS-ual Fridays and Simon Says

I have three cards today.  I am entering all of them into the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge to use a stamp you love but don't often use.  The first two cards use Friends Till the End, which I completely forgot I had (shame on me), and was encouraged to take it out to play when the PTI senior design team highlighted it yesterday.  My third card uses the Hero Arts Zig Zag border, which I also love, but don't take out very often because I am kind of a little stumped by it.  I will also enter all three cards into this week's Simon Says Stamp challenge of Anything Goes.

My first card uses the smaller flower stamp from Friends Till the End, embossed in white, to create a background, just like I saw Heather do here.  I will be entering this card into this week's CAS-ual Fridays CFC92: Wallpaper challenge.

Next, I tried water coloring with my new Inktense pencils.  Sort of like Dawn did here.  I think I am in love with these pencils.  They make it so quick and easy to get a bunch of cool color mixtures.  I picked this sentiment for a couple of reasons--first--it fit perfectly in the nook between the two flowers (tell me I'm not the only one who picks sentiments that way?)--second--I have had it a long time and have never used it--and third--I thought it would be good to  have a card to send to a friend if something bad happened, but not so bad to require a condolence card.  I am prepared for bad news, which hopefully means it will never happen.

My last card is another one for this week's CASual Fridays CFC92: Wallpaper challenge. I stamped the Hero Arts Zig Zag background stamp in Limeade Ice and was completely blinded!   So, I covered up some of that crazy background with a banner stamped and embossed in black with one of the sentiments from my new Stylish Sentiments: Birthday.
