Runway Inspired Thanks

I am still attempting to become fashionable by participating in the Runway Inspired Challenges.  It's not working yet, but I am not giving up.  For ric#2, we have this photo for inspiration:

This was a particularly challenging photo, since there were so many different elements to choose from.  I chose to focus in on:  the black stripes, the circles on the strap of the handbag, and the colors--kraft, green, purple, and mustard.

Runway Inspired

I'm playing along with a new challenge today, Runway Inspired ric#1.  This challenge is dedicated to finding inspiration from fashion.  This is perfect for me, as I am the most unfashionable person imaginable.  I know nothing about styles or trends.  I hope that by playing along with this challenge, I will perhaps become more fashionable with absolutely no effort on my part.  How cool would that be?

Here is my card:

I used Canary yellow to stamp Modern Basics as my focal point, and gold bling and a gold embossed sentiment to pick up on the gold and bling in the inspiration photo.  Also, the model is tall and thin, as is my focal point.  My card ended up looking a lot like Lindsay's card here, so while it was not my intention to CASE her card, I believe that must be what I did, since I had seen her card earlier.  I'll give her full credit for publishing a fabulous card that got imbedded into my brain.
