A Bit of a Crafty Week

Hello and happy Friday.  I made this delicious mint chocolate chip ice cream cone card a few days ago, inspired by the challenge at Color Hues #47 and realized I almost missed the window to post it.  I created a background of irregular squares behind my focal image, inspired by the challenge at Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero: August.  Gosh, now I want some ice cream!

Next up is this fun beach scene, inspired by the sketch at MFT Sketch Challenge #608 and Addicted to Stamps and More #436.

Last up is a card using the fabulous flamingos from a recent MMH kit...I followed the sketch at FMS #550, and am also entering this card at Addicted to CAS #227 and at Stay Crafty with a Blog Named Hero: August.  I stamped all the different layers of flamingos, die cut the image into a square, then cut that square into squares.  Lots of squares here.

Just 3 Cards...

Just popping in quickly at the start of the weekend to post 3 quick cards.

First up is a card inspired by the Project Reachout: You are My Favorite Challenge.  I decided to use a sentiment from Think Big Favorites as my favorite element.  I have been meaning to make a cheery card using this sentiment, as it is perfect for today's situation.

I stamped sun rays in the upper left corner from Hello sunshine, a sun from Heart 2 Heart, and added a frame from Infinity Frames and texture from the Stitching Impression Plate.  The clouds are L'il Inker.

I am also entering this card at Retro Rubber #133: Anything Goes.  The stamps on this card are all at least 5 years old.

Next up is the final card I am entering at AAA Cards #163, as the challenge is almost over.  It was such a great sketch, it inspired quite a few of my cards these past few weeks.  I used a die set from PTI called Kay's Critters Cuddly Cats along with Cat's Meow.

Last up today is a card inspired by the Stay Crafty with Hero Challenge #6: Out of the Box.  I used the Hero Arts Color Layering Stamps and Dies.  I used die cuts to create some white on white texture as well as a border--that is my 'out of the box' use for the ice cream cone die.  I am also entering this card at Seize the Birthday #189:  Food and/or Drink.

My Crafty Stay-at-Home

Hello and happy Sunday.  Another week of staying home, and I found some time and creativity and made a few cards.

First up is a card that will be popped into the mail tomorrow for a Nurse friend of mine, to cheer her on as she continues her heroic work at the hospital.  I used a free digital download from MFT, and was inspired by the sketch at MFT Sketch Challenge #483 and the colors at MFT Color Challenge #138.

Next up is a card inspired by the challenge at Ink to Paper Project Reach Out:  Just a Little Thank You.  I pulled out one of my favorite PTI sets, Quilled Elegance for this card.  My colors and design were inspired by the dual challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches #364.

This next card is inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #429, using the colors from Just Add Ink #499.  I am also playing along at Stay Crafty With Hero #3: Home Inspiration.  This card is inspired by the freezer in my garage, which is always well stocked with ice cream.  These pretty colors say spring to me, so I am also linking up at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and Inkspirational Challenge #210: Spring.

Last up is my very first Holiday card for 2020.  I am entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #383: Holiday, Addicted to CAS #181: Texture (see the embossing paste snow behind the deer), and The Paper Players #485: A Day at The Zoo.
