Tuesday Quick Post

One more post for me today....a super quick one to link up two cards using some older PTI products.

This card uses PTI Butterfly Folk, and I am entering it at the Ink to Paper Challenge to make a Folk Art card.  I am also entering at Less is More #432: Blue & Silver, Retro Rubber #147: Anything Goes (stamps are 2-3 years old), and Simon Says Monday Challenge: Remembrance (I remembered your anniversary!!).

To make this card, I heat embossed the biggest butterfly from Butterfly Folk using silver embossing powder.  Then, I sponged Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink all over the butterfly, aiming to go just over the outer edge, creating sort of a halo effect with the blue.  My sentiment is from PTI Uncorked, and I just stamped it on a scrap, cut it out, and popped it up with foam tape.

I also made a quick card for the Ink to Paper Challenge Melissa's Fab Friday Feature, which was so make a holiday project.  I used some papers that PTI sold which had all the elements from Holiday Folk stamps.

Thanks for Visiting

  1. Beautiful butterfly card & how fun to have papers that match the Holiday Folk stamps! Just made my folk art card today, but too dark to photograph with our rainy weather.

  2. Oh I LOVE that butterfly card!! Such a fun way to use that stamp. Your holiday card is fabulous. I LOVE those stamps.

  3. I love the way you inked around that glorious silver butterfly, Joyce. It's wonderful to see you in the Less Is More Gallery. Thanks so much for playing with us!

  4. Your butterfly card is classic CAS, and beautiful. And your second card! Absolutely love it!

  5. Two beautiful cards, but the blue and silver butterfly is perfect for our CAS colour challenge over at Less is More. Thanks for playing with us!
