Hello, Hello.....

Hello, hello....I am popping in quickly to post 2 cards that have been sitting all week waiting to be posted.  I played around with my Copic markers and some new dies to make a pair of cards for AAA Cards #81:  Hello and Less is More #310: Ombre.

I started with a bit of card stock which I colored in an ombre pattern, then started die cutting the Hello's from them.  I ended up making a second larger ombre pattern using the same colors for one of the layers on the first card.

Here are the marker colors I used:

My goal this year is to get better about using my Copic markers.  Of course, I had to start out by buying a bunch of new colors.  Which sort of torpedoed my earlier resolution to shop less.  What can I say?  One goal at a time.

Gotta run as I am taking my daughter and her friends up to Knotts Berry Farm today, and I will spend the day at the movies and mall nearby, waiting for them to have their fun.  So nice that they are old enough to fend for themselves in the park.

Thanks for Visiting

  4. Two fabulous cards love the ombre colours, even if you did have to buy new copics ! Its amazing how the same layout and dies using different colours and embossing can not only stretch our supplies but make each version look amazing.

  13. Looks to me like a wise investment, especially if your goal is to use your copics more often! I have but a handful - none of which blend together (lesson learned: do NOT buy 'sets' ) - so if I wanted to add to my collection: yikes! Small fortune! I need to find a 'win copics' contest to enter *grin! Your cards: hello beautiful x two!
