Flowers and Owls

I've got three colorful cards to post today.  First up is another entry into Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes challenge using Blossoming Buds.  I cannot seem to stop using these flowers.  My card is a CASE of this card Kim made on her crafting get away.  I am also entering this card at HYCCT Tilted Layers challenge.

I stamped and die cut one of the flower groupings three times, colored them in, then adhered them along the tilted edge of my front panel.  I lined two of the die cuts up against the edge, and cut some of the leaves off the third piece and layered it over the place where the other two met.

Next up is a card for this fun owl inspiration photo, hosted by Inkspirational Challenges.  I have never heard of this challenge, but I saw this photo in a couple of places over the last few days, checked it out, and decided to play along, and just in the nick of time, too.

I think it is pretty obvious where my inspiration came from.  I stamped all 9 owls using Versamark, embossed in clear, and then used a rainbow of different Distress inks sponged over each owl.

My last card is inspired by the Simon Says Wednesday Thinking of You challenge as well as the HYCCT Fault in Our Stars challenge.

I seem to be on a bit of a coloring binge lately--this is my latest purchase from Stampin Up--Corner Garden.  Again, I have found a stamp set where the flowers are all arranged for me, and all I need to do is stamp and color.

Seven Cards, Really?

Hello there.  I am popping in with a mid-week post with some cards for a few different challenges and 2 different card drives.

My first two cards are for the Anything Goes challenge over at Paper Smooches Sparks this week, and I am also sending them off to MD Anderson Cancer Center for the HYCCT challenge--this one is to create a sweetly romantic card.

I used the Lattice Frame die by WPlus9 and the Blossoming Buds stamps by Paper Smooches.  I love that the flowers are already arranged in this stamp set.  All I have to do is just color them in.

My next card is also for the HYCCT challenge--this one is to use music, birds or hearts.

While I had my Little Bitty Bird and LBB Additions stamps out, I decided to make another card for the same HYCCT challenge, but this time, I made it a one layer card featuring some bird houses.  I am entering this card into the One Layer Simplicity Challenge #11 Home, Sweet Home and CAS on Sunday #45 One Layer Wonder.

As one thing leads to another...since I was now thinking of one layer cards, I made another card for the One Layer Simplicity Challenge #11 Home, Sweet Home.  This card uses a ghost stamping technique that I saw here on the Caring Hearts blog hop.  Of course, my card will also be sent along to the Caring Hearts card drive.   I am also playing along with Festive Friday , Colour Me #45 and  CAS on Sunday #45 One Layer Wonder.

One more card for the  One Layer Simplicity Challenge #11 Home, Sweet Home challenge, CAS on Sunday #45 One Layer Wonder challenge and Caring Hearts, using the Winter Wishes stamps.

And, last for today is a card for this week's ColourQ cQc #266  and Caring Hearts.

Lots of Pink Today

Laurie has a really fun Make it Monday video about partial die cut stamping, and I am playing along.  I've got two cards using this technique to spiff up some pink balloons, which is one of the challenges at SCS Hope You Can Cling To

I used Funky Flowers stamped in Hibiscus Burst and Raspberry Fizz inks on Sweet Blush for this card.

On this card, I used Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz and Momento Angel Pink inks on white.  The colors are so off on this photo--the 'celebrate' die cut is Raspberry Fizz.

This last card is for a background stamping challenge at SCS Hope You Can Cling To.  I used Distress ink and a round mini blender tool and just kept pouncing until I liked how it looked.

I will be entering all of these cards at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes, Seize the Birthday (without Washi toppings) and sending them off to the MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Just a Note and Joy Filled Season

Happy Monday.  I am sneaking in at the last moment with a card for The Card Concept #21.  I knew I wanted to ink up Botanical Blocks, and only got around to it just in the nick of time.  I believe this card falls into the 'clean and layered' category.  I embossed the image in black and then colored with Copics.

I'm playing along with the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #97 as well as the Get Crafty and Use Kraft challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Festive Friday #43, and Anything Goes Challenge #48 at Christmas Card Challenges.  This card will go to the Caring Hearts Card Drive.  I just love these little gingerbread men from Tremendous Treats.  They make me smile every time I look at them.

Card Drives (Part 1)

Hello.  It is almost the weekend here.  Yay.  I must warn you that I am posting a lot of cards today.  I've been on a tear, making cards for various card drives.  Are you ready?

I will start with 4 cards that I am linking up to the Pink Christmas challenge at Jingle Belles.   They are donating $4 to the Susan G. Koman Foundation for every card linked up.  And, then I am sending these cards along to the Caring Hearts card drive.

I followed the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch and was inspired by Kristi's card for my first two cards.

I made a bunch of cards using this sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping #311.

All the rest of my cards are for various challenges at Splitcoast Stampers Hope You Can Cling To, and I will be sending them to MD Anderson Cancer Center.

This card plays along with the current challenge at Tag You're It #8 and the Something's Missing challenge at HYCCT.  On this card, the stamped background sentiment letters are missing color inside.  I wanted to show that something could be very pretty and still be missing something.  The background stamping Kim did on this card was my inspiration.

These next two cards may look the same, but can you spot the difference?  I switched around the order of the ice cream colors, since I had to run the die through 5 times, once for each color.  Yes, if you are a regular reader, you will eventually see these ice creams on 5 different cards.  One is for the Spoonful of Sugar challenge and the other is for the Two by Two challenge to use pink and purple together.

The next 10 cards are for the Stripping Down challenge to use strips of paper.  I used the sketch above from Clean and Simple Stamping and really had a good time digging through my pattern papers to make these cards.  And, while they all follow the same basic sketch, they are all different in some way.  Here goes:

.

Well, that's it for me today.  I have a bunch more half finished that I will work on and post over the weekend.
