CASology Week #163: Moon

If you are looking for my ColourQ post, please click here.

Hello and happy Tuesday.  It's time for another challenge at CASology.  Our cue word this week is MOON.  I immediately thought of some owls hanging out together, with a big full moon in the background.  I cut a circle out of a piece of computer paper to use as a mask, and sponged Scattered Straw and Mustard Seed Distress inks within the circle to create my moon.

I stamped and die cut my owls and colored them with Copics, then perched them on a branch in front of my moon.  Hard to see in this picture, but the black parts of the owl eyes are coated with black WOS for a shimmery look.

Now, it's your turn.  How are you inspired by MOON?  I hope you play along this week. Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

I am also linking up at a few more challenges this week:

Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes, Happy Little Stampers CAS Colouring, and Time Out #39: Make Your Mark.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

Saturday Update

Hello and happy Saturday.  My first card is a shaker baby card for Paper Smooches Anything Goes and CAS(E) This Sketch #105.  I'm also playing along at Simon Says Monday Old (Paper Smooches A Little Lovin) and New (Silver Micro Beads) and Simon Says Wednesday New.   I paper pieced the elephants and used the die from PTI Sending You to create my window.

This is my second time this month playing at Stamplorations--this time in their January Stamps and Inks challenge.  I used Tree Silhouettes and CASED this beautiful card by Sharron.  I tried to copy Sharron's water coloring, and I think I still need a bit more practice.

One more entry at Make it Monday #196:  Colorful Card Corners.  I just could not resist making this card again, this time in purple.

I did something a little different this time--I have seen stamping that continues on to the back side of the card, and decided to try that also.  I am in love with the stamp Kim bought for me to use on the backs of my cards.

Last up is a get well card I made using the colors at this week's ColourQ cQc #274.  I used the Leaf Pattern Cover Up die by Lil Inker--cut it 4 times in 4 different colors and then pieced the leaves back in.  Not sure I'd do that again...

That's it for me today.

Flowers and Owls

I've got three colorful cards to post today.  First up is another entry into Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes challenge using Blossoming Buds.  I cannot seem to stop using these flowers.  My card is a CASE of this card Kim made on her crafting get away.  I am also entering this card at HYCCT Tilted Layers challenge.

I stamped and die cut one of the flower groupings three times, colored them in, then adhered them along the tilted edge of my front panel.  I lined two of the die cuts up against the edge, and cut some of the leaves off the third piece and layered it over the place where the other two met.

Next up is a card for this fun owl inspiration photo, hosted by Inkspirational Challenges.  I have never heard of this challenge, but I saw this photo in a couple of places over the last few days, checked it out, and decided to play along, and just in the nick of time, too.

I think it is pretty obvious where my inspiration came from.  I stamped all 9 owls using Versamark, embossed in clear, and then used a rainbow of different Distress inks sponged over each owl.

My last card is inspired by the Simon Says Wednesday Thinking of You challenge as well as the HYCCT Fault in Our Stars challenge.

I seem to be on a bit of a coloring binge lately--this is my latest purchase from Stampin Up--Corner Garden.  Again, I have found a stamp set where the flowers are all arranged for me, and all I need to do is stamp and color.

Seven Cards, Really?

Hello there.  I am popping in with a mid-week post with some cards for a few different challenges and 2 different card drives.

My first two cards are for the Anything Goes challenge over at Paper Smooches Sparks this week, and I am also sending them off to MD Anderson Cancer Center for the HYCCT challenge--this one is to create a sweetly romantic card.

I used the Lattice Frame die by WPlus9 and the Blossoming Buds stamps by Paper Smooches.  I love that the flowers are already arranged in this stamp set.  All I have to do is just color them in.

My next card is also for the HYCCT challenge--this one is to use music, birds or hearts.

While I had my Little Bitty Bird and LBB Additions stamps out, I decided to make another card for the same HYCCT challenge, but this time, I made it a one layer card featuring some bird houses.  I am entering this card into the One Layer Simplicity Challenge #11 Home, Sweet Home and CAS on Sunday #45 One Layer Wonder.

As one thing leads to another...since I was now thinking of one layer cards, I made another card for the One Layer Simplicity Challenge #11 Home, Sweet Home.  This card uses a ghost stamping technique that I saw here on the Caring Hearts blog hop.  Of course, my card will also be sent along to the Caring Hearts card drive.   I am also playing along with Festive Friday , Colour Me #45 and  CAS on Sunday #45 One Layer Wonder.

One more card for the  One Layer Simplicity Challenge #11 Home, Sweet Home challenge, CAS on Sunday #45 One Layer Wonder challenge and Caring Hearts, using the Winter Wishes stamps.

And, last for today is a card for this week's ColourQ cQc #266  and Caring Hearts.

CASology 118 and Paper Smooches Sparks

Hi there.  I am popping in quickly to share another card I made for this week's CASology HOME challenge.  I am also playing along with Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes challenge.

All the stamping is from Paper Smooches Bitty Bungalows, and there are lots of different dies on this card--Poppy Stamps for the houses, Memory box for the trees, Simon Says Stamp for the curved hill and Mama Elephant for the stitched clouds.  Ahhhh, I do love my dies.

CASology Week 116: Splatter

Wow -- last week's cards were all so delicious.  I had so much fun looking at all of your chocolate cards and making my own.  Any wonder I ended up at See's Candy this weekend?  Now, it is time for a new challenge at CASology, and this week our cue word is SPLATTER.  Now, what's a CAS girl with some control-freak tendencies supposed to do with that word?  Just look.

I am fortunate enough to own several splatter stamps--nothing like controlled-stamped splatter.  I used stamps from Paper Smooches I Heart Art and WPlus9 Ink Splats to create my splatter.  If this were real life, I would have those splats sponged up in a heartbeat.  But, I guess I don't mind them too much on my card.

Now, it is your turn.  What do you think of when you see the word SPLATTER?  Have some fun with the cue word SPLATTER, and then please link up your creation on the CASology blog by Monday at noon (CST).

Check out the beautiful designs from the CASology Design Team members and see how they were inspired by SPLATTER.  Don't forget to keep your card Clean and Simple.

I am also entering this card at Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes and Virginia's View #8 Clean and Simple challenge.

Get Well and Hope

I have a couple of quick cards for this week's Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes challenge.  I had quite a few paper strips left over from this card, and when I saw what Lindsey did here, I was inspired to make my Get Well card.

As I was looking through my Paper Smooches dies, trying to find 'get well', I came across 'hope' and decided to make one more card along the same lines.

I am also entering both of these cards at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes.
