25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020...Day 2...Simon Says Stamp

Welcome to the 10th Annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags!

If you are new to the event you can click HERE to see the posts from the last 9 years. There are also links to the Pinterest boards for each of  the past years at the bottom of this post.  There is so much incredible inspiration there.  I am so excited to share that there are 26 sponsors this year, and each of the sponsors and their designers will be joining us as a guest for a day!

Welcome to Day 2!

If you are just arriving for the first time all the details and the linkup can be found HERE!

Today I am excited to announce that we have Simon Says Stamp as our sponsor.

To make my tag today, I pulled out an oldie that is one of my favorite holiday stamps from Simon Says Stamp, Furry Christmas.  One of the reasons I like this stamp set so much, is I can color the cute dogs and cat any way I want.

I am also entering this tag at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, where the challenge is to make a tag and play along with our challenge!!

Please head over to the main post on Tracey's blog for more information on how you can join in on the
fun and have a chance to win one of our prizes.

My Crafty Round Up

Warning....lots of card photos...I had a super crafty weekend.

First up is this birthday card featuring circles (balloons and focal point) for MFT Birthday Project, Seize the Birthday #187: Spring Fling (colors and little chickies) and Addicted to CAS #183: Animal.

I am playing along at Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #121: Birthday Theme for I think the first time, using the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches #366 and the colors from Color Throwdown #589.

My next card is inspired by the challenge at Ink to Paper Project Reachout: Keep Swimming and the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #368.

Next is a card going to one of my friends who is a health worker super hero, and I am entering it at the new Seize the Birthday/Seize the Heroes #188 and MFT Color Challenge #139.  I used a band aid die from PTI to ground my super heros.

Another encouragement card with the same sentiment as this card from earlier in the week, and I am also linking it up at Cupcake Inspirations #491.

I am getting a Holiday Headstart with the latest challenge from Stay Crafty with Hero #5, and I am also entering this card at A Blog Named Hero Water Coloring challenge.

And, now I have two sympathy cards, as I try to rebuild my stash of these important, yet hard to make cards.  I am entering this card at Perfectly CAS #8: Masking.

My final card is very similar to the card I made earlier in the week here, and I am also entering it at AAA Cards #163.

Well, that's it for me today.  It is amazing how crafty I can be when I am stuck in the house.

Stay Safe

Time Out #148...Reminder...Merry Christmas

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  This week, we challenge you to be inspired by the words below...

Here is a bigger picture of our inspiration photo:

I was inspired by the color scheme of the photo, the red and black plaid, and the fun scripty Merry Christmas on the pillow.  I found some black plaid patterned paper, framed it in red, and then put a stack of die cut script 'Merry Christmas' die cuts atop a die that sort of reminded me of a pillow (PTI Brushed Off Rectangle Die)

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Angie, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019...Day 10

Welcome to Day10 of The 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019.  If you are arriving for the first time, all the details and the link up can be found HERE.

Our sponsor for Day 10 is Simon Says Stamp.

Simon Says Stamp sent me this gorgeous Leaves and Berries Background stamp to play with.  I must admit to initially being a bit puzzled on how to use a background stamp on my tags.  Luckily for me, I had just seen this video and blog post by Jennifer McGuire, and my creative juices kicked in.

I used the emboss resist technique to create the backgrounds for these tags, and added a few other supplies from Simon Says Stamp in my stash to complete my tags.

For this tag, I stamped the Leaves and Berries stamp in blue, then Versamark, then heat embossed.  After that, I sponged ink all over the background.  I used SSS Village Wafer Dies to create my wintery scene.

For this tag, I stamped the  Leaves and Berries stamp in green, then Versamark, then heat embossed, and then sponged a bright blue over all.  I used the Merry Christmas Die to add my sentiment.

I still had a bit of that blue and green background left, so I used it as the hill in this card below.

By this point, I was on a huge roll with this stamp, and frankly could not see how I had lived without it for this long.

This card involved me white heat embossing on kraft card stock, and using the same Merry Christmas Die for my sentiment.

My last card features that fabulous Leaves and Berries stamp one more time.

As usual, I ran out of time well before I ran out of ideas, so had to leave it there.

Please head over to Tracey's blog for more information on how you can join in on the fun and get a chance to win a prize.

My Crafty Weekend

Hello and happy Sunday.  I have had lots of crafty energy, so I will just jump right in.  First up is a card using the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #338.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Stamp It.

Next up is a fun, wine-themed card, using SSS Time For Wine.  I chuckle every time I see this sentiment.  I am entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #351:  Make Your Mark, Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #143:  L is for Liquor and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge:  Clear (wine glasses are clear).

For my next card, I was inspired by the challenge at Memory Box #53: Framed.  When I was looking through my Memory Box stash, I saw this Birch Tree stencil, and had this out of the box idea to have the die cut deer framed by the trees.  I am also entering this card at AAA Birthday #5:  Use a Stencil.

The challenge at Laurie's Fabulous Favorites is Fall, and I used one of my all time favorite PTI stamps, Harvest Berries for this card.  I used the color scheme at CAS Colours & Sketches #337, and I am also entering this card at The Male Room #119:  Autumn.

The challenge at CAS on Friday #163 is Die Cut Words, and that inspired my next card.  I used some really wide washi tape on the front of this card, and really like how quick and easy it was to get these gorgeous florals.

Next up (and last of all) are two cards I made using The Greetery Bountiful Wreath stamps and dies.  This first card uses the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #401 and the colors from Color Throwdown #559.

Last up, is a card inspired by the color scheme at The Paper Players #458.
