Cards for Ukraine

I am joining in with fellow crafters in creating some cards inspired by the colors of the Ukrainian flag and the courage of the Ukrainian people.

I am entering all three of these cards at Color Hues #36.

First up is this card using one of my favorite new Hero Arts dies.

I am entering this card at Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero: Anything Goes and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Die Cut

I was inspired by my friend Lindsey's card when planning this next card.  Sunflowers are the national flower of Ukraine and are now a global symbol of solidarity.

I am linking this card up at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Die Cut.

This was actually the first card I made in this series, again being inspired by the colors of the Ukrainian Flag and their national flower.  The stamp is a very old PTI called Botanical Blocks.  I am entering this card at PTI What Do I Do with This challenge to use embossing powder.

Three Cards for Thursday

Hello.  I am popping in quickly on a Thursday to post a few cards I've made this week.  First up is a card for the challenge at Lawn Fawnatics #84: Back to School.  I used these sweet Lawn Fawn stamps sent to me by Kim to create my little scene.  If Mr. Bear can read the map, Mrs Mouse can get to school before the tardy bell rings.

I am so very excited to be playing along at the very first challenge from Color Hues #1: Yellow & Green.  I am also playing along with Retro Rubber #143: Yellow & Green  (my stamps are at least 5 years old), and the photo at The Card Concept #139, where my inspiration is the sunflowers in the photo and my style is Clean and Simple.

My last card is inspired by the challenge at Seize the Birthday #199 to use only die cuts except for a sentiment.  This made me think of this fabulous set of Hero Arts dies called Surf's Up, and I created a masculine birthday card per the challenge at The Paper Players #507.  Just for fun, I decided to use the beautiful fall colors from Color Throwdown #610 rather than more traditional water colors.

My Crafty Visit

Lucky me....my niece came to visit for a few days, and she wanted to craft 24-7.  She was a quick study and made so many wonderful creations.  I was right along with her, and have 6 cards to post today.

First up is one of my favorites....it is amazing how easy shaker cards are when I have the right sized customized pouch!  I am entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #362:  Make Your Mark.

How about a swarm of penguins?  I think it's called a Waddle.  I forgot to leave a place for a sentiment on this one, so it will go inside, as I didn't want to cover anyone up in my group photo.  I am entering this card at Addicted to CAS #169: Creature, CAS Christmas October: Winter Scene, and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Christmas.

My next card gave me a chance to show my niece the magic of heat embossing and dry embossing, and I am entering it at The Flower Challenge #37: CAS, The Library Challenge #43: The Secret Garden, and The Paper Players #462.

I am entering this following card at Paper Smooches October Challenge:  DT Inspiration...I was inspired by the cards in this post, and also Just Us Girls #508:  Designer Paper...some hombre watercolor paper by Lil Inkers.  Just love those bitty baby sharks.

Last up is a pair of cards I made using a blend of fall colors.  I couldn't decide if I wanted my die cut to have blending or the background to have blending, so I made one of each.

I am entering this card at Shopping Our Stash #406 and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Fall.

And, the other version...I am entering this at The Male Room #121:  Stay CAS.

Mid Week Update...4 Cards

Yay for crafting time during the week.  I played along with MUSE #187 because I fell in love with Tracey's inspiration card.

I was inspired by Tracey's free form floral stamping, placement of her sentiment and her colors.  I broke out my newest inks for this card--a couple of little Altenew cubes.  Have to say that I love the ink, and will be getting some more next time there is another sale.  I used Fall Floral stamps from MFT.  I am also entering this card at The Flower Challenge #1.

Sneaking in under the wire at CAS(E) this Sketch #193.  I kept pretty true to the sketch, and used blended distress inks.

Inspired by this card by Nicole, I have a card for PTI's Create Along with Us. I used Copics to color, and added a little gold pen to match the gold embossed sentiment.

Last up is a holiday card using Winter Village that I am entering at Merry Monday #217: Retro/Vintage.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Monday Challenge: Explore the World.  As I live in sunny San Diego right near the beach, my snowy scene is inspired by the adventure my oldest daughter will have this winter at college in Maine.
