CASology Week 149: Vintage

Hello and happy Tuesday.  It's time for a new challenge at CASology.  Our cue word this week is VINTAGE.  I had several ideas for this cue word, including images I had of a vintage bicycle and a vintage telephone.  I also thought of vintage wine.  I ultimately decided to go with this cute vintage typewriter image, and will come back later with some additional inspiration if time allows.

I am also linking this card up at Retro Rubber #15 Vintage.

So, how about you?  How are you inspired by VINTAGE?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

  1. Love this in the black and white, and that red twine looks so fantastic with it. Is that an embossing folder that you've used to create the background? Such an effective combo!

  16. I thought of using this image, too, Joyce...so glad you did, your card is awesome! Sad that my kids have never even seen a typewriter...indeed, I guess they are now vintage. How time flies!

  17. Ah yes...I have memories of using such typewriters, back in the day when my second year of teaching, I taught 'typing' 7 classes a day (BORING!). Electric typewriters were the 'new rage', but we still had a couple classes using these...aaa space sss space ddd space...Oops...guess I'm dating myself! Love your card!

  19. To think typewriters are considered vintage these days! I learned to type on one and that wasn't all that long ago...or was it?! Eeek!

  23. Great vintage card! Someone called my office today to tell me that the printer was out of ribbon. I chuckled and said, "It's not a typewriter. I'll get some toner ordered." I remember typewriters and typewriter ribbon and even carbon paper. Pfft!
