CASology Week #242: Text

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is text.  I thought of sending a text and stamping some text, but ultimately decided to use an impression plate to create text texture on my card.

Now it's your turn.  How does TEXT inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

A Little Birdie Told Me and Happy Birthday

I have two cards to share today.  First up is a card inspired by Jenni's sweet card over at Muse #108.

Jenni's Inspiration Card

I immediately thought of the adorable Happy Birds from WPlus9, and used a color scheme from Just Add Ink #352.

I am also entering this card at Additcted to Stamps and More #234: Clean and Simple and CASual Fridays CFC170: No Dies Allowed.

I am building up my stash of birthday cards with this next card--using a die from Serendipity I just received.  I was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) This Sketch #214, and the challenge at Less is More #321 to "Use a Frame"

I am also entering this card at Seize the Birthday: Use Black and White and one more color, AAA Cards Game #86: Die Cuts, Simon Says Monday Challenge: Layer it Up, and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Use more than 1 die or punch.

PTI Blog Hop March, 2017

I'm playing along today with the March, 2017 PTI Blog Hop.  Here is the part of the inspiration photo that I used to inspire my card:

I was inspired by the dark background, and how much of the piece is covered with colorful flowers. It definitely is a card outside my comfort zone.

I am also linking this card up at AAA Cards #86: Die Cuts, Simon Says Stamp Monday: Layer it Up, and Simon Says Wednesday: Use more than one die or punch.

Sending Hugs

I have not had much crafting time lately, but I did manage to sneak in a card for this week's Make it Monday #238: Window Chipboard Sentiments.  It was really nice to see Stephanie in her first video.

Here is the card I made, using Harvest Berries and Big Hugs.  This is the card closed.

Here is the card when it is open.

I am also entering this card at AAA Cards #86:  Die Cuts and Addicted to Stamps and More #234: Clean and Simple.

I'll be back tomorrow with a card for the PTI blog hop.

Time Out #79...Reminder...Welcome Baby

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is a CASE challenge, and we have this wonderful card by Jenny to inspire us.

Isn't this just the sweetest card?  I had such fun CASEing it.  I was inspired by the simplicity of the design, the sponged background, the faux stitched frame and the kraft card base.

Our sponsor this month is Verve, and they were kind enough to send me this adorable Hip Hop Bunnies set to use for my card.

I am also entering this card at The Paper Players #336.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Izzy, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge.  Verve is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

CASology Week #241: Melt

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is melt.  My favorite thing to eat is ice cream, and so that was the very first thing I thought of when I saw this week's cue word.  I do try to eat my ice cream before it melts, and this ice cream stamp set from Clearly Besotted had a stamp that looked like it was some sort of a topping melting all over my precious ice cream.

Now it's your turn.  How does MELT inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

Anniversary Challenges

Quick post for 2 of the PTI Anniversary Challenges.

Day 2--Multiply challenge--I used Quilted Summer and some Doodlebug paper to use repeated triangles to make a pattern.

Day 3---Favorite Floral--I used the hibiscus from Some Like it Hot.  Inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #212.

Day 5--Transformation.  I made a card years ago, for a Make it Monday challenge to use acetate. My design was very impractical, as there was really no way to write inside the card, given the way I designed my card.  So, for this challenge, I used the same stamp set, Asian Fusion and the same color scheme, but a much more practical card.

Here are both cards side by side.  New card on right.

CASology Week #240: Foliage

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is foliage.

I decided to have a little fun with the word this week, and stamped my foliage in some unusual colors.  I grounded my potted plants with a score line.

Now it's your turn.  How does FOLIAGE inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

Quick Post

I have several cards that have accumulated over the course of the week--time to post.  I've already missed some of the challenges I was aiming for.

I am playing along with some of the anniversary festivities at PTI with my first three cards (or tag).

My first tag is inspired by the challenge by Rebecca Luminaria--I was inspired by the black stripes and gold accents and the coral colored tassels in the inspiration photo.  I am also linking this up at Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes.

My next card is inspired by the black, white and red tic tac toe in Lizzie's challenge.  I used a piece from the Black & White paper pad and added a die cut sentiment in red.  I am also entering this card at Happy Little Stampers March Anything Goes with Dies.

My last card for the PTI Anniversary challenges today is for Lexi's challenge to create a card and envelope and actually get it into the mail.  So this card is already on its way to surprise a friend with some good cheer.

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Monday: Make Your Own Background, Simon Says Wednesday: For A Special Lady/Girl and Happy Little Stampers March CAS: Die Cuts.

Last up is a birthday card for my mom, inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #278.  I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps and More #232: Make Your Mark.
