As the weekend winds down, I am here to post 3 of the cards that I made. First up is the last card I made, but perhaps my favorite--I had a lot of fun with it.
I was inspired by the photo at Time Out, where they are celebrating their first birthday with Challenge #26. I was inspired by the frames, the colors, and the beadboard that I saw behind those frames. I used WPlus9 and Hero Arts inks in colors matching the photo--with the exception that I switched the pink to more of a red because I wanted to make a masculine card. I stamped a variety of frames from Label Basics and then filled them in with various birthday sentiments. I scored lines every 1/2 inch across the card front before adhering my front panel with foam tape.
The fun part was selecting the sentiments. I used sentiments from the following sets:
PTI: Mat Stack 3, Peaceful Garden, and Tiny Treats Birthday: Hero Arts Birthday Messages, and Waltzingmouse Eat Cake. I was able to find all those sentiments pretty quickly because I stamp all my sentiments into a sentiment binder--I turned to the Birthday section, and I could see which sentiments might fit each frame.

Next up is a card that uses the sketch from this week's CAS(E) this Sketch #113 and is also inspired by the current challenge at The Card Concept #30. I believe my style on this card is Clean and Layered.
I am also entering this card at Addicted to Stamps #134 where the challenge is CAS, CAS on Sunday #53 where the challenge is Girl Power, and Simon Says Wednesday Girly Challenge.
Last up is a card where I tried the ink layering technique that Jennifer McGuire shows in this video. I used a Hero Arts stencil on Soft Sky paper, inking first with white pigment ink and then with Blueberry Sky dye ink after slightly offsetting the stencil. And, yes, I'm still playing around with Frilly Flowers.
I am entering this card at RetroSketches #156, ColourQ #282, CAS on Sunday #53 where the challenge is Girl Power, and Simon Says Wednesday Girly Challenge.
That's it for me today.
