January just flew by, and now it is time to post our projects for the 12 Kits of Occasions. Our hostess this month is Sharron, and she sent the most wonderful and enormous package of goodies--all designed to get us ready for Valentines Day.
Here is a picture of Sharron's kit, and you can click on over to the 12 Kits of Occasions blog to see a list of supplies. Can you see how much loot is in this kit? It was mind boggling. There were so many things I loved. I made 6 cards, 2 tags, and a little Lunchbox Note Card, and I have so much stuff left it is crazy. I plan to pull these leftovers as soon as I see what everyone else did and do some serious CASE-ing.

I'll get right to it, since there is a lot to see. These first two cards use this week's sketch (rotated) at CAS(E) this Sketch #62.
How cute are those tiny elephants? I just love them. There were some birds just as cute, and I still have them all because I ran out of time before I could use them. They'll make their appearance some other day on this blog.
The colors in my photos are off. These tags look like they are kraft, but they are really this totally cool putty color from SU called Sahara Sand. I had never seen this color before, and of course, will be ordering some for my stash. Also, I used Wink of Stella quite liberally, but none of the glitter is showing up in the photos.
That's it for me this month. I am interested to see what everyone else did. I still do have quite a few things left over that I can use for CASE-ing. Thank you so very much, Sharron, for sending such a wonderful kit.
And, there's more. We have a special guest designer this month, Michelle from Pretty Periwinkles. I am eager to see what Michelle did with her kit, too.

ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL projects Joyce!!! Love each one :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards and tags Joyce. What a great kit.
ReplyDeleteAnother great collection, Joyce! Love your first card with the word arrow pointing to all the clustered hearts. Fun use of the sketch!
ReplyDeleteWhat beauty this month Joyce! I love those first cards that go along with the sketch, what a great use of the washi tape! And then all the tags you made at the end, and especially darling :) I also really like that funky love card with the bright patterned paper at the side. As usual Joyce, you never cease to amaze me with your talent!
ReplyDeleteAs usual...lots of cute cards and tags to look at here Joyce...love the little tag with the elephants...those teeny elephants were my favorite part of the kit! I also love the one with the washi tape...didn't get to use that from the kit, but think using it with that sketch was very smart! I predict you will be seeing that one CASed from a lot of people! Great job with Sharron's kit!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the 12 kits, besides visiting with friends, is seeing all the different ways we all used things. You used so many things I wasn't sure what to do with... the heart border, the elephants, and the heart bow die cut - I've got lots to learn - glad you are around to help me! Your cards are all amazing Joyce!!
ReplyDeleteAs I'm saying to all of you this month, I've been waiting to see the February kit coz I knew you girls would just fill Blogland with lots of hearts and love and you didn't disappoint me! Just wonderful loving cards and tags, Joyce!! That elephant tag is the best! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun month with so much love poured into it. Your cards & tags are so fun. I still haven't figured out an easy system to use current sketches & color challenge, but you have it mastered. Super work as usual, Joyce!
ReplyDeleteJoyce this is such a sweet collection, I love them all :)
ReplyDeleteLoads of fun going on here Joyce! I always enjoy seeing what you put together from the kit. The tag with the little elephants is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteOne beautiful CAS card after another Joyce, and so much for me to CASE here. I may have to go shopping again first..Fortunately I have lots left so I can get CASEing right away. I agree with Jeanne, it is so fun too see everyone's takes with the same kit. Love the little tag scene for your last entry.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love your kit posts! So many fabulous goodies in this kit. I love your happy <3 day card!
ReplyDeleteThis is so much fun seeing how different our cards are.You wowed me again coming to your blog with these cards…. love your first one with the love on a diagonal. The second standout for me is the happy heart day( Valentines) Gorgeous layout and card. Love them all and so happy I have lots of left overs.
ReplyDeleteOK...you had a lot of fun with this one...
ReplyDeletebut I'm pretty sure you always do! *giggle*
Of course this kit was also awesome and so glad I still have oodles left over too!
LOVE those angled cards...
I think those are my favorite...
along with the ellie tag! :)
My ellie's went MIA somewhere on my table...
I MUST find them now! :)
WOW! This is so impressive all the wonderful things you made with your kit. You must have had a whole lot of fun playing. Great inspiration!
ReplyDeleteSo many gorgeous cards, Joyce--love them all! The angled designs look great and I loved seeing the washi tape. I totally forgot I had it--so of course haven't used it on any of my own cards--lol. Love seeing how you can take just a few elements and make them look so awesome!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet collection of love filled cards.
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed at how you're able to see the kit and get sooo creative with it, Joyce ... these are all so wonderful! My faves this month are the hanging heart (fabulous white space!) and happy day (love that die cut heart border!)! Anita :)
ReplyDeletebeautiful cards and projects!! love the movement of your diagonal cards!!!
ReplyDeleteOh how I love what you did with you kit! I am especially in love with the first two. Fabulous design on all of them. What a fun thing it must be to put your cards together each month. Beautiful and inspiring job as always!
ReplyDeleteAll of your cards are so wonderful, Joyce. It seems like such a fun thing to do, make cards from a kit and then see what the others in the group do. I can't wait to see what you do with the leftovers.
ReplyDeleteJoyce, what a great post! So many wonderful cards from one kit of supplies! Your very first card is my FAV -- I adore that floral heart, I'm smitten! They are all wonderful, honestly...I can tell you had fun with all your kit supplies!
ReplyDeleteWay to go on using your kit to create so many cards!
ReplyDeleteLove your take on the sketch, too, with the arrows and hearts.
Joyce, these are all just stunning! I love each and every one of them. Your totally rocked this kit, but then you always seem to do that. You have a way with paper and stamps, so creative! I have a few favorites from your collection, your first two cards. love that angle you used that with the Washi Tape, so fun!
ReplyDeleteThat really is an impressive stash of stuff! How awesome! And your creations are gorgeous. Your two CTS cards rock especially the second one with the cool washi tape. I think the third card is my favourite. I love the way you inlaid the die and trimmed out and popped up the sentiment. So cute! And those elephants? I love them. Melissa used them on a card last year and I bought the die solely because of that!
ReplyDeleteThese are all wonderful, Joyce! I especially love your takes on the CTS sketch!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards. I loved the sketch y ou used. The first card is lovely. The dangling heart is my favorite. Cute tags too!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Joyce! Never would have thought to use the diagonal stitch die on paper with words but I love how it came out. Must try that. And all the dry embossing on your backgrounds is the perfect touch.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the sketch and the kit. Great cards!
ReplyDeleteYou made so many wonderful cards, Joyce! Love the two you made with the sketch, especially the first one with the cluster of hearts. The little lunch box note and tags are so adorable, especially the tag with the elephants all lined up. This was such a fun kit to work with, and now I have some new ideas for my leftovers! :)
ReplyDeleteLook at you with those awesome diagonal layouts for the first two, love the layering on each. Those TAGS! You knew I was going to love those. Especially the little elephant parade. And your Happy Day card has to be the most cheerful card I've seen in months, it's so adorable!
