Hello and happy April. I'm here to post a card for Happy Little Stampers Case the Designer challenge.
This month, I am providing the inspiration card, and I used a partial coloring technique to add interest to my card while keeping it very Clean and Simple.
I started with Beautiful Day stamps from Altenew. I just love these flowers, and how the multi-step layers let me I can get the look of coloring without actually coloring.
I started by stamping just the outline images onto a card front. I then cut out the center of my card front using a stitched rectangle die. I made sure that some of each image would extend beyond my center cut out.
Then I stamped the colored layers only on the middle section of my card. You could also do this with any stamp, even if it were not a multi-step stamp, by simply only coloring the middle section.
Finally, I put the card front back together, and popped up the middle with fun foam.
Our challenge will run for the entire month of April. I hope you will play along. Please head over to the Happy Little Stampers Case the Designers blog to see more inspiration from the rest of the design team.
Thanks for Visiting

ReplyDeleteHi Joyce, thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. Yours is such a beautiful card to CASE with the fabulous Altenew stamp and gorgous colours. I should have popped over here first to see how it was done and will definitely do it your way next time as the image looks so much better raised up xx
ReplyDeleteFabulous design and gorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteYour card is really lovely! I'm just wondering how you got the stitched rectangle on the uncoloured layer please,
Thank you,
Dee (from Australia)
I used a die that has stitching on both sides of the die. I think it is from Simon Says Stamp, but many companies make double stitched dies.
