Graphic Birthday

I'm back with my second post of the day--a last minute second entry for this week's Play Date Cafe PDCC#111.  I am also entering this card and its matching envie in this week's CAS-ual Fridays "Signed, Sealed & Delivered" CFC #32.

I was working on this card for another project, when it struck me that I was still using this week's Play Date Cafe colors--see what happens when I don't clean my desk between projects?

Here are two views of the matching envelope:

Here is the card and envelope together:

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  WPlus9 Magical Moments, PTI Peaceful Garden

Enjoy the Ride Tag

This week's Make it Monday #46 from PTI showed us how to make a tag out of any die.  I decided to use Enjoy The Ride, and I made a tag to go with this card I made a while back.  This is the first time I have actually watched the video and made the project on the Monday the video was published.  I'm liking this Winter Break already.

Here is my tag:

Here is a picture of the tag with the card:

Supplies Used (PTI unless noted):
Stamps:  Enjoy the Ride, Freakin' Adorable (manuf unknown)
Paper:  White, Lime Twist Life of the Party
Other:  Dies:  Enjoy the Ride

Peace, Love and Happiness

I made a card for One Layer Wednesday.  The challenge was to "make a one-layer card that says peace to you".  Well, when I made this card, it was a sunny day and I had the house to myself.  I was in a  happy mood.  I guess I was feeling kind of 70's groovy, so I made this card to reflect a '70's groovy kind of peace.

I used Summer Sunrise, which seemed to me to be my sunniest, happiest paper, and used Versamark to stamp a random collection of Flower Fusion flowers.  The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

And, because I loved the idea of a matching envelope, which is this week's CAS-ual Friday's Challenge CFC#32, I made this envelope to match.

Here is the card and envelope together.

Peace

Birthday Wishes: Vines

I am still working on my stash of birthday cards.  This card is for this week's ColourQ cQc #115 and CAS-ual Fridays CFC #32.  After I pulled out all my papers in the colors I had closest to this week's colors, I decided to do something completely different, and pulled out my Copics instead.  I used R29, YG25 and RV14, as well as Pinefeather card stock.

Since the CAS-Friday challenge is to make a CAS card with a coordinating envelope, I made this envelope:

Here is what they look like together:

I do like having a coordinating envelope, but rarely take the time to make one.  I really should do it more often, since it's not really that much more work, if all the supplies are still out.

I would like to thank the team at ColourQ for selecting this project from last week as one of their Colour Courtiers.

Supplies Used (PTI):
Stamps:  Background Basics Vines, Think Big Favorites
Paper:  White, Pinefeather
Other:  Copic markers

Birthday Wishes: Make it Monday

I've got a birthday card for this week's Make it Monday #45, Coloring Embossed Images with Copics.  After watching the video and reading some of the comments, I decided to stamp in white and emboss in clear, so as not to run the risk of damaging my daughter's Copic markers.

There are a lot of hot air balloons in the air near where I live.  They are always beautiful combinations of bright colors, so I used a random assortment of Copic markers.

Supplies Used (PTI):
Stamps:  Up, Up, and Away
Paper:  Enchanted Evening, Spring Rain, White
Other:  Edgers Die, Photo Finishers Die, Copic Markers, Embossing Powder

Seasons Greeting from Rudolph

I am not normally a last minute person, but somehow, the deadline for this week's CAS-ual Friday's CFC #31 Challenge snuck up on me.  I really wanted to play along, because I have several bottles of mist that I recently purchased, but was always too intimidated to actually use.  This challenge was just what I needed to get going.

I used my recently purchased Prancer stamp from Market Street Stamps, but turned him into Rudolph with a red rhinestone dot, just for fun.  I used Perfect Pearls Mist on a piece of  Dark Chocolate cardstock that I had run through my Cuttlebug with a Sizzix Snowflake embossing folder.

Here is a close up of the misted cardstock:

Supplies Used (PTI):
Stamps:  Market Street Stamps Prancer
Paper:  Rustic Cream, Dark Chocolate, Pure Poppy
Other:  Sizzix Embossing Folder, Mat Stack #4, Photo Finishers Die

Papertrey Friends

Today, I spent the morning talking about Papertrey, stamping, families, and everything else under the sun with two of my fellow Southern California Papertrey friends, Cathy Weber and Marybeth Lopez (Lemonblossom).  It was my second time getting together with Cathy, and our first time meeting Marybeth.  It was such a fun morning.

Marybeth, Cathy, me

Cathy made me this super cute card.  She used lots of bits that I had sent her earlier in the year.  It was such a surprise to see the card she made.

Cathy also made me this set of tea candles and matching box.

Marybeth brought home made chocolate honeycomb.  It was delicious.  I wanted to break into the bag on the car ride home, but I waited so I could get a good picture first.  Although I could have eaten the entire bag, I did save some for my family.

Here are the cards I made for Cathy and Marybeth:

I gave each of them one of these treat holders, filled with home made chocolate and vanilla caramels.  I am happy to report that these treat holders were highlighted here as ColourQ Color Courtiers.  I was so excited to see this, as this is the first time any of my cards have been singled out by any of the challenges I have participated in.
