Guest Designer....Tag You're It! #69...Never Give Up

Hello and happy Friday.  I am so pleased to be posting today as a Guest Designer at Tag You're It #69. Here is the tag I made for your inspiration.

There is actually a story behind this tag.  Remember the Woman's March in January 2017.  Here is a picture, in case you missed it.

Millions of women marching, many wearing a knitted pink pussy cat hat.  Like this one:

For months now, I have been knitting pink hats, first giving them to family and friends, and then selling them to raise money for refugees.

Of course, I had to package my hats in a cute and creative way.  I rolled them up, put then in a clear cello bag, labeled with a pompom of matching yarn and my tag.

Knitting all these hats has definitely been a stress reducer, as I have found the last 70 or so days to be very stressful.  And, the extra effort to package them in a cute way has definitely been appreciated.

I used a cat stamp from Technique Tuesday and a sentiment from CASual Fridays Hope Ribbon for my sentiment.

I am also entering this tag at Addicted to Stamps and More #236: Anything Goes.

My Crafty Weekend

Hello there.  I have so many crafty pictures to show that I am going to keep the chit chat to a minimum.  Let me know if you have any questions, and please leave a way for me to respond.

The first of a trio of cards using MFT Polar Bear Pals.  I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #264.

I will enter this card at Inkspirational #122: Chill.

This birthday card will go to my ice skating niece, and I am entering it at Seize the Birthday without toppings.

I have not used the Emboss Resist technique in a while, and so was happy to play along at Less is More #304 and Simon Says Monday Trio-tastic challenge with three snowflakes on this card.

And now for a few tags, which will all be entered at Tracey's 25 Tag's of Christmas event.

I used the pale colors at Colorthrowdown #420 for this tag.  I used copic markers and a white gel pen, and the colors are not as dark in person as they appear on the tag.

I am entering this tag at AAA Cards #78: Circles.

I am entering this pair of tags at CAS on Sunday #97 where the challenge is Christmas.

And, finally a pair of tags for Addicted to Stamps and More #221: Anything Goes and Simon Says Wednesday challenge to use a die.

Tag You're It #36...Reminder

Hello and happy Friday.  You still have time to play along with us at Tag You're It #36.  I am the inspiration this week, and here is my inspiration tag.

I CASEd myself and made a tag inspired my my first tag.

This time I focused on the sponged ink background, the use of die cuts, and, of course, Santa in the sky.

I hope you will play along with us.  You have another week.

Tag You're It #36

Hello and happy Friday.  It's time for a new tag inspiration at Tag You're It, and this week I am the inspiration.  Eek--I am a little bit nervous, as I have never had to be the inspiration for anything before.

Here is my tag...looking all official-like.

I die cut and stamped several images from PTI City Scene (one of my all time favorite sets), and combined them all to make a shaker tag with an inky blended sky--suitable for dressing up a holiday gift.

I tried to give lots of avenues for inspiration--buildings, city scenes, sponged background, shakers, even a car with a tree on top.  What I never thought would be inspirational, and it seems to be the favorite element to CASE, is that Santa's sleigh flying through the night.

Please, (please, please) play along with this week and make a tag inspired by my tag.  Don't forget to tell how you were inspired.

Tag You're It #35...Merry & Bright

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends.  Happy Thursday to all my friends, far and near.

I have had a wonderful day so far, running in a local turkey trot, puttering around in my craft room and anticipating a Thanksgiving dinner with my family at a local restaurant--i.e. no cooking or cleaning up for me.  This year, as always, I am so very grateful for all my friends in the blogging community, and especially those friends I have actually had the privilege of meeting in person.

There is still time to play along at Tag You're It #35, where we have Tracey's colorful tag to inspire us.  We also have Tracey to thank for all the wonderful tag inspiration she and her guests have provided for the past 25 days.  Click here to start at Day 1 of the 25 Tags of Christmas and be prepared to be inspired.

I was inspired by the red Christmas light on Tracey's tag, as well as the polka dots on her tag.  I used PTI Holiday Lights for my tag, and stamped a background from PTI Confetti Toss for the bottom layer of my tag.

While my Misti was all set up, I made several of these tags in a variety of colors, and will package these up as a little holiday gift set.

I am linking these tags up at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes, Christmas Card Challenges #51 Anything Goes, CAS on Sunday #72 Christmas, AAA Cards #50 Anything Goes and Happy Little Stampers December Challenge: Tag.

Time Out #45...Warm Winter Wishes

Hello and welcome to a new challenge at Time Out.  This week, we are inspired by words:

Snowflakes are Winter's Butterflies

I was inspired to pull out my newest snowflake die and stamp set called Quilted Winter from PTI.  I die cut and stamped the snowflake in traditional red and green for Christmas, and then adhered everything to a square scalloped tag and then a card.

I hope that you will take some Time Out to play along with us over the next two weeks.  Please see the Time Out challenge blog to see more inspiration from the Design Team and our Guest Designer Ashwini.
