25 Days of Christmas Tags 2020...Day 3...Altenew

Welcome to the 10th Annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags!

If you are new to the event you can click HERE to see the posts from the last 9 years. There are also links to the Pinterest boards for each of  the past years at the bottom of this post.  There is so much incredible inspiration there.  I am so excited to share that there are 26 sponsors this year, and each of the sponsors and their designers will be joining us as a guest for a day!

Welcome to Day 3!

If you are just arriving for the first time, all the details and the linkup can be found HERE!

Our fabulous sponsor today is Altenew.

I often think of Christmas in the City when I am doing holiday crafting.  I think it is because growing up, we always went into New York city every Christmas--we looked at the wonderful displays in the store windows on 5th Avenue, watched the skaters and saw the big tree at Rockefeller Center, sometimes even taking in The Nutcracker ballet.

I chose to play along with a stencil from Altenew called City Scene.  All my sentiments are from Altenew Modern Poinsettia.

I cut a few tags, then started playing around, trying different things with these tags and the City Scene stencil.  For this tag, I blended Distress Oxide ink onto the tag and around the stencil.  I moved the stencil slightly 2 more times, to get more of a blurry look.

For this tag, I used navy blue cardstock for the tag, then blended opaque white ink around the stencil.

This tag started out just like the tag above, but  I then covered the entire tag with a big spray of Perfect Pearls.

This last tag is similar to the first, but in red.

While I had my supplies out, I made a holiday card.  I sponged Versamark ink around the stencil to create all the buildings, then heat embossed the buildings with a black sparkle embossing powder.  Then, I was free to create a blended night sky above the buildings.

I am also entering this tag at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, where the challenge is to make a tag and play along with our challenge!!

Please head over to the main post on Tracey's blog for more information on how you can join in on the
fun and have a chance to win one of our prizes.

Happy Labor Day

Hello and happy Labor Day.  With the hot weather and stay at home orders, today was a good bonus crafting day for me.  I made 2 fun birthday cards with some of my favorite little critters.  I am entering these cards at AAA Birthday #17: Animals or Critters, Seize the Birthday #198: No Topping, Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Favorite Stamp (Mama Elephant Little Agendas---various animals), and SOSS #168: F is for Friends (all my critters play so well together, especially when they are all going to the same birthday party).

My first card uses a critter from each of the ME Little Agenda sets that I have.  It was a fun but also difficult choice to pick which critters could come to this party today.  I also put some balloons and mountains in the background from The Birthday Bash and Scene Builder stamps.

This card uses The Greetery Destination Stencil to create a little town, where the Chickie friends are getting ready for a birthday party.  Trees and taxi are from PTI City Scene.

My 3rd card is not as cute, but I think more sophisticated.  I used some earthy fall colors and the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch #388 to create this Thankful Project for ITP Melissa's Fab Friday Feature.  My colors were inspired by the challenge at Shopping Our Stash #428 (Mustard, Orange, Green).

I used PTI Quilled Elegance, as this stamp seemed to match the sketch perfectly.

Happy Retirement

Hello and happy Sunday.  I am popping in to share a card I made for 2 different Papertrey Challenges.

For the first challenge, Laurie challenged us to make a card using our favorite PTI stamps.  I could not decide between City Scene and Harvest Berries--2 older sets that I use all the time and totally love.  I think this challenge may be called Fabulous Favorites.

The second challenge is Transformation Tuesday.  I took a feminine card that I had previously made and made it more masculine.

Here is my original card.

My Crafty Week

I made a card for PTI Create Along with Us, and it was inspired by this card by Lizzie.  Lizzie's card had reindeer leaping over the tops of houses, and I have santa's reindeer flying over the mountains.  I cannot wait until my reindeer stamps arrive so I can make them fly over things.

I am also entering this card at Just Add Ink #386:  Just Add "R" (reindeer).

My next card is inspired by the sketch at CAS Colours And Sketches #249, and uses those same mountains as the card above, only I did not use the matching dies.

Another sketch inspired my next card and it is from Freshly Made Sketches #313.   I am also linking this card up at Addicted to Stamps and More #268: Holiday.

Last up is a card with a wreath and a bow, and it is inspired by the challenge at Addicted to CAS #124: Bows and the wreath in the photo inspiration at Fusion.

That's it for me today.  I am hoping to crank out some more holiday cards this weekend, so I'll be back on Sunday.  In the meantime, I hope to get out into blogland and pay some visits.

My Crafty Weekend

I feel like it has been a long time since I had a large group of cards to post as a result of weekend fun in the craft room--today is the day.

First up is a bunch of cards inspired by Kay's beautiful card at Muse #231.

Kay's Inspiration Card
I loved the idea of the lightly stamped city skyline and a beautiful floral focal point.  I created two Mother's Day cards using PTI City Scene and Gran's Garden stamps.

I am also entering this card at CAS on Sunday #107: Use glitter or sequins (I used sequins).

I made another version of the same card, using different die cuts from Grans Garden.  I am entering this card at Time Out #82: Flowers (where I am on the DT).

While I had all the buildings from City Scene set up in my Misti, I made a few Father's Day cards. Why should the Mother's Day cards get all the fun, right?

I am entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes and Addicted to Stamps and More #239: Clean and Simple.

Are you sick of this design yet?  I have one more Father's Day card, and I am entering this one at AAA Cards #89: Bright and Beautiful.

My parents as well as my In-Laws are all from New York, so I think they will appreciate the New York themed cards.

The sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #285 inspired my next card.  I flipped the sketch.

Last up is a pair of cards I made with the Bloom & Grow kit.

The first card is inspired by CAS(E) this Sketch #219, and I used the Stenciled Water Color Background technique from Make it Monday #282.

You can pull the flowers up to see the sentiment.

One more card from Bloom & Grow, this one using the patterned paper in the kit.

I am entering this card at Seize the Birthday Anything Goes.

That's it for me this weekend.
