Time Out #145...Reminder...hope

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  This week, we challenge you to be inspired by this theme:

I have always loved the large scale of the Ruffled Ribbon Die from CAS-Fridays Stamps, and have used it so many times over the years.  For this card, I framed my simple die cuts using the PTI Pierced frames, for a really Clean and Simple Breast Cancer Awareness card.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Sidan, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge. CAS-UAL Fridays is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog.

This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.

Crafty Recap

Hello and happy Sunday.  I was inspired by this fun card of Betsy's during PTI Release week.  I loved her string of mittens, and strung up some brightly colored hats for my card, which I am entering at PTI Create Along with Us.

I had to break out my brand new MFT New York Skyline die for my next card, which I am entering at AAA Cards #126:  Moonlight, Addicted to Stamps and More #314: Clean and Simple, and Seize the Birthday: Anything Goes.  I created my moon by masking off a circle and blending several Distress Inks all around it.

A couple of Stamplorations Reindeer are frolicking under a starry night in my next card.  I am entering this card at Simon Says Monday Challenge: Starry Night and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Animal Antics.

For my last card, I was inspired to combine the challenge at CAS-ual Fridays #210: Pinks & Greys and Calling All Sistahs #18.  I used 3 different shades of pink and 3 different shades of grey, although it is a little hard to tell from this photo.  I used MFT Homespun Stitch Lines dies to create the random stitching pattern on my light pink front panel and MFT Grosgrain Texture Board to add texture to my dark pink front panel.

Lest you think I have been slacking off in my crafting, I thought I'd announce here that I have joined Tracey's creative team for her annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags project.  I have been working away behind the scenes, creating lots of tags that I will be excited to share during the month of November.  I hope that you will be inspired to play along.   Watch this space...

Guest Designer....Tag You're It! #69...Never Give Up

Hello and happy Friday.  I am so pleased to be posting today as a Guest Designer at Tag You're It #69. Here is the tag I made for your inspiration.

There is actually a story behind this tag.  Remember the Woman's March in January 2017.  Here is a picture, in case you missed it.

Millions of women marching, many wearing a knitted pink pussy cat hat.  Like this one:

For months now, I have been knitting pink hats, first giving them to family and friends, and then selling them to raise money for refugees.

Of course, I had to package my hats in a cute and creative way.  I rolled them up, put then in a clear cello bag, labeled with a pompom of matching yarn and my tag.

Knitting all these hats has definitely been a stress reducer, as I have found the last 70 or so days to be very stressful.  And, the extra effort to package them in a cute way has definitely been appreciated.

I used a cat stamp from Technique Tuesday and a sentiment from CASual Fridays Hope Ribbon for my sentiment.

I am also entering this tag at Addicted to Stamps and More #236: Anything Goes.

Hope and Arctic Themed Wrapping Paper

Hello and happy Monday.  I'm popping in for a quick post before getting my dog dressed up as Batman (Batdog?) for Halloween.  (see end of post)

I thought of 2 card ideas in spin class this morning--both of them for the CAS-ual Fridays #159: Fight Like a Girl Challenge.

On this card, I die cut the Linked Fri Dies from white and three shades of pink to create my left border.  My sentiment combines a die cut from PTI and a sentiment from CASual Fridays Hope Ribbon stamps.

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Monday Thinking of You.

My second card idea uses the other pieces of the pink Fri-Dies links.  I overlapped them to form a grounding base for my card, and then put a die cut ribbon and sentiment from Hope Ribbon on my popped up front panel.

I cannot decide which card I like best.  What I really hope, is that both of these cards sit in my stash for a really long time....meaning that I have no one to send them to for a really long time...

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes.

Last up is a little piece of stamped wrapping paper that I created based on the video at this week's Make it Monday #266:  That's a Wrap.  Lexi has some great tips on creating custom wrapping paper for small gifts--she even has some downloadable templates with guide lines for stamping.

Rather than show this paper in use, cutely wrapping up a fake gift, I am showing it flat, because I will keep it this way until I actually have a gift to use it for.  I created this wrapping paper using stamps from PTI Warmest Wishes.  It's too cute to sacrifice for a photo shoot.  I'll probably make a matching tag when I actually use it.

That's it for me.  Batdog and I are taking Sarah trick or treating downtown.

Apparently, Sherlock is very into Halloween.  He dressed up as Superdog at Kamp Kanine last week. Here is a picture of the photos the staff took of him that day.  Sherlock will pretty much let anyone do pretty much anything to him.

Happy Halloween

CASology Week #221: Cure

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is cure.

I still had my dress die out from this card, so decided to stick with that same theme for this card.  I did my stamping on a panel of white card stock, then die cut the dress directly out of the portion where I stamped the ribbon.

When I put the dress back in, I layered it up with a couple of pink dresses.

Now it's your turn.  How does CURE inspire you?  I hope you play along this week.  Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

Time Out #67...Reminder...We're Here for You

There is still time to play along with our current challenge at Time Out.  Our challenge this time is Friendship with the optional twist of embossing.  Also, there is an extra prize if you use embossing and pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Casual Fridays are sponsoring us this month, and I have used their Hope Ribbon stamp set for my card.

I kept my card very CAS, and I think that the sequins and texture is all I need.  I really like that the sentiment has the choice of 'I'm ' or 'We're'.

Please head over to Time Out to see more inspiration from our Design Team and Guest Designer. Our Guest Designer this week is Conil, so please stop by her blog to see what she has created for this challenge.  CAS-ual Fridays is our sponsor for this challenge.  Details for the prize are on the Time Out Challenge Blog. This challenge will run another week.  I hope you will take some Time Out of your busy schedule to play along with us.
