My Crafty Week

Hello and happy Thursday.  I am popping in quickly to share some cards I made.  First up is this little cutie, featuring some of the stamps and dies in the MFT Cats and Plants card kit.  I was inspired by the colors in the MFT Color Challenge #170.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Next up is a water color panel I made following the tutorial at PTI Live at Five.  I used Royal Velvet, Dark Indigo, and Hawaiian Shores inks and swiped directly onto my water color paper.  After that I used my steamer and then a mister to get the paper really really wet, then moved and dried the color with my heat tool.

I was able to make 2 cards out of this panel.  I went in the direction of the tropical seas, since that is what these colors suggested to me.  First I used the Shape Shifters Oval die to cut through my panel and added some tropical fish and coral silhouette die cuts.  I fussy cut a sentiment from Salt Air Sentiments.  I am entering this card at the PTI Video Challenge to make a tropical card.

I took all the negative pieces from the die cut above and added them back into a white Shape Shifters die cut, then added some more tropical silhouette die cuts.  I am entering this card at the PTI Live Around 5 Challenge.

I am also entering both of these cards at Addicted to Stamps and More #410: Die Cuts and Stencils, Use Your Stuff #427: Summer Fun, and at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Next up are two wedding cards featuring one of my old PTI favorite stamps, Propose a Toast.  I think these champagne flutes are so cute, and this set has some of my favorite sentiments for wedding cards.  I will be entering both of these cards at PTI The Great Cover Up challenge to create a card with a touch of gold and also at Inkspirational #244: Spots/Dots (champagne bubbles), and at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Last up today is another wedding card using a sentiment from Propose a Toast and the Cover Plate Gem Stone.  I didn't have any silver paper handy, so I swiped my white die cut with Silver Delicata Ink.  You can't even tell that the paper didn't start out as silver.  I am entering this card at PTI What Do I Do With This challenge to create a card using rainstones, Addicted to CAS #202: Geometric, and at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Back to My Craft Room

Hello and happy Sunday.  I am back in my craft room and have three cards to share today.  First up is my last entry into the Sugar Pea June Mix it Up challenge.  This time, I am playing along with the sketch, using the London Scape die.  I was also inspired by the night sky in this photo inspiration from Just Us Girls #590.  To make this sky, I blended several different blue Distress Oxide inks together, and then sponged white pigment ink around the center.  I drew the 3 stars in using a gel pen.

Next up, I pulled out some sea horses from PTI Salt Air Fauna and set them against a watery background using PTI Text & Texture Ocean.  My design was inspired by the sketch at AAA Cards #193, and the sea horses are my optional critters.  I am entering this card at PTI What Do I Do With This challenge to use rainstones and Inkspirational #242: Maritime.

Last up is this colorful card that I made with my newest PTI stamps called Walk with Me.  This set has so many fun types of shoes, and lots of layering options.  I used just one type of shoe and just one layer, and stamped a colorful background using colors inspired by Color Throwdown #648.  I am also entering this card at the PTI Video Challenge to create a bright and vibrant summer card, Addicted to Stamps and More #408: Birthdays, Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: We Can See Clearly (vellum behind my die cut), and WWC318: Occasions.

My Crafty Round Up

Warning....lots of card photos...I had a super crafty weekend.

First up is this birthday card featuring circles (balloons and focal point) for MFT Birthday Project, Seize the Birthday #187: Spring Fling (colors and little chickies) and Addicted to CAS #183: Animal.

I am playing along at Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #121: Birthday Theme for I think the first time, using the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches #366 and the colors from Color Throwdown #589.

My next card is inspired by the challenge at Ink to Paper Project Reachout: Keep Swimming and the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #368.

Next is a card going to one of my friends who is a health worker super hero, and I am entering it at the new Seize the Birthday/Seize the Heroes #188 and MFT Color Challenge #139.  I used a band aid die from PTI to ground my super heros.

Another encouragement card with the same sentiment as this card from earlier in the week, and I am also linking it up at Cupcake Inspirations #491.

I am getting a Holiday Headstart with the latest challenge from Stay Crafty with Hero #5, and I am also entering this card at A Blog Named Hero Water Coloring challenge.

And, now I have two sympathy cards, as I try to rebuild my stash of these important, yet hard to make cards.  I am entering this card at Perfectly CAS #8: Masking.

My final card is very similar to the card I made earlier in the week here, and I am also entering it at AAA Cards #163.

Well, that's it for me today.  It is amazing how crafty I can be when I am stuck in the house.

Stay Safe
