My Crafty Round Up

Hello friends.  I am posting my creations from the long weekend on a Tuesday because I ran out of time yesterday.  I guess the long weekend was not long enough.

First up is a card for Ink to Paper: What Do I Do With This:  Stencil Blended Background Challenge.  I used the Papertrey Balloon Stencil to blend a rainbow of balloons on to my card front.  It doesn't show in the photo, but I covered all the balloons with a generous layer of Wink of Stella.  I used a die cut and fussy cut sentiment strip to add my sentiment to the background.  I am also entering this card at Inkspirational #240: Hot Air Balloon (rainbow balloon inspiration), and The Rainbow Card Challenge #30: Radically Rainbow.

Next up is another card inspired by an Ink to Paper challenge--this one is the Great Cover Up Challenge to just use white cardstock.  I took a piece of white card stock and completely covered it with Distress Oxide inks--Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness and Shabby Shutters.  I blended until I had a really nice green ombre look, and then I die cut that panel with the In The Woods Cover plate.  I glued that onto a white card base, and stamped a birthday sentiment from Pen and Ink.  I am also entering this card at Addicted to CAS #198: Ombre.

My next card was inspired by the color challenge at Inky Paws #149 and Less is More #444: Favorite Technique (Copic Coloring).  I am such a fan of the Newton's Nook Holding Happiness stamps, and pull them out quite often.  I love how versatile they are.  I have had these stamps for at least 2 years, so am entering this card at Retro Rubber #159: Anything Goes, and Addicted to Stamps and More #406: Make Your Mark.

Last up is a pair of Father's Day cards that I will be entering at Stay Crafty with Hero Arts #23: Fun in the Sun and Cupcake Inspirations #520: Father's Day or Masculine.  I used the My Monthly Hero kit from December 2020 for these cards.  I am also entering this first card at The Male Room #150: Water/Beach.

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July.  I hope it is warm and sunny where you are.  I am popping in quickly to share 3 cards.

First up, very fitting for this holiday is a red, white and blue birthday card for my brother-in-law whose birthday is tomorrow.   I based this card on the card below, and I decided to change up the colors a little and make it more patriotic.

I am entering this card at PTI Transformation Tuesday, Addicted to Stamps and More #299: CAS, and Simon Says Monday Challenge and Simon Says Wednesday challenge who are both Red, White and Blue.

Original Card

My next card uses the Ombre Watercolor Background technique from PTI Make it Monday #327, and I am also entering it at CAS on Friday #136: Splash-Watercolor and Just Us Girls #447: Anything Goes.  I used images from Songbirds and Tropics.

Last up is my favorite of today's line up, using some new PTI stamps Salt Air Fauna and Flora.  It was really fun to put together, although there is a lot of 2 and 3 step stamping.

I am entering this card at CAS(E) This Sketch #278, Cupcake Inspirations #449: Under the Sea, AAA Cards #118: Use a Frame, and Paper Players #400: Celebration.

PTI July 2017 Blog Hop

Lots going on today....this is my second post.  If you are looking for the CASology 5 Year Anniversary blog hop, please click here.

I am playing along with the PTI July Blog hop, where we have this photo to inspire us.

I was inspired by the color scheme of the photo, as well as the leaves at the top and bottom of the card in the upper left corner.  I wanted to use some new stamps, so used Herb Garden and Pen and Ink.

You're On My Mind

Happy Sunday.  I'm popping in quickly to post a card I made for this week's Make it Monday #290.  I didn't stray too much from the inspiration card, but I'm still happy with the way it came out.
