My Crafty Round Up

Hello friends.  I am posting my creations from the long weekend on a Tuesday because I ran out of time yesterday.  I guess the long weekend was not long enough.

First up is a card for Ink to Paper: What Do I Do With This:  Stencil Blended Background Challenge.  I used the Papertrey Balloon Stencil to blend a rainbow of balloons on to my card front.  It doesn't show in the photo, but I covered all the balloons with a generous layer of Wink of Stella.  I used a die cut and fussy cut sentiment strip to add my sentiment to the background.  I am also entering this card at Inkspirational #240: Hot Air Balloon (rainbow balloon inspiration), and The Rainbow Card Challenge #30: Radically Rainbow.

Next up is another card inspired by an Ink to Paper challenge--this one is the Great Cover Up Challenge to just use white cardstock.  I took a piece of white card stock and completely covered it with Distress Oxide inks--Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness and Shabby Shutters.  I blended until I had a really nice green ombre look, and then I die cut that panel with the In The Woods Cover plate.  I glued that onto a white card base, and stamped a birthday sentiment from Pen and Ink.  I am also entering this card at Addicted to CAS #198: Ombre.

My next card was inspired by the color challenge at Inky Paws #149 and Less is More #444: Favorite Technique (Copic Coloring).  I am such a fan of the Newton's Nook Holding Happiness stamps, and pull them out quite often.  I love how versatile they are.  I have had these stamps for at least 2 years, so am entering this card at Retro Rubber #159: Anything Goes, and Addicted to Stamps and More #406: Make Your Mark.

Last up is a pair of Father's Day cards that I will be entering at Stay Crafty with Hero Arts #23: Fun in the Sun and Cupcake Inspirations #520: Father's Day or Masculine.  I used the My Monthly Hero kit from December 2020 for these cards.  I am also entering this first card at The Male Room #150: Water/Beach.

My Crafty Round Up

Hello and happy Sunday night.  I am popping in before my family barbeque to post some cards I've been working on this week.

First up is a card I made using these adorable kitties from the MFT Cats and Plants kit.  I followed the sketch at MFT Sketch Challenge #543 and the colors at MFT Color Challenge #166.  I am also entering this card at The Paper Players #543: Tic Tac Toe (birthday, twine, white), Addicted to Stamps and More #406: Make Your Mark, and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

I am still working on getting enough Father's Day cards before the big day.  I was inspired by the colors at Color Throwdown #644 to create my city scene.  I am also entering this card at Stay Crafty with Hero Arts #23: Fun in the Sun (Father's Day is a good excuse to have fun in the city on a sunny day), and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Last up is a trio of cards I made using my newest stamps and dies from The Greetery called Reflections.  I was just playing around with different colors of water and trees, and before I knew it, I had three cards.  I made 2 of them Father's Day cards and one a birthday card.  I am entering these cards at The Male Room #150: Water/Beach, and Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

My Crafty Weekend

Hello and happy Sunday.  It's a big day of card posts for me.  Not only am I posting the 4 creations I made this weekend, but I had a go live early this morning, where I posted 8 cards I made with the card kit Tracey sent me when I was her guest at The 12 Kits of Occasions.

First up for today is this birthday card.  I started by using the PTI balloon stencil to stencil a colorful background of balloons.  Next, I die cut the sentiment out of black cardstock, and then adhered a piece of vellum to the back of the die cut.  I liked that you can see the balloons behind the die cut, but the vellum mutes the colors a bit, allowing the die cut to shine.

I am entering this card at Ink to Paper Birthday Card challenge, AAA Birthday #21: Stenciled Background, and Seize the Birthday #206: Vellum.

Next up are 2 cards that both follow the colors from MFT Color Challenge #158 and the top row of the tic tac toe challenge at The Paper Players #526 (die cut, animal, scene).  I used the MFT Critter Caravan die and sent a zebra and panda off to a birthday party.

Those zebras still wanted to party, so I made an additional card inspired by the sketch at MFT Sketch Challenge #526.  I thought a large stenciled balloon would make a festive stand in for the oval in the sketch.  Flowers are the gift of choice at this birthday party.

Last up is a card for the (dreaded) one layer challenge at AAA Cards #182.  I taped off a vertical strip and blended 3 different colors of Catherine Pooler inks.  Then I stamped a silhouette image and sentiment from Picket Fence Dear Best Friend.

My Crafty Weekend

This is my second post today.  If you are looking for my 25 Days of of Christmas Tags post, please click here.

I had some crafty time to play this weekend, and here is what I made.  First up is two of my animal friends sharing a hot and cozy cup of cocoa.  I was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #459, Shopping Our Stash #432: Hot Drinks, Color Throwdown #617, AAA Cards #177: Maxi White Space, Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Movie Inspired (Rudolph), Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes, and Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #172: Faux (embossing paste snow).

Next up is this brightly colored card made with a balloon stencil and a word die cut both from MFT.  I was inspired by the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #396, the challenge at Just Us Girls #560: Word Die Cuts, this month's Birthday Project challenge at MFT (balloons), Seize the Birthday #202: Texture, WWC295: Occasions, and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

I created this snowy blended sky using Distress Oxide inks and a liberal smattering of Perfect Pearls, and then added this Hilly Neighborhood from Mama Elephant.  I am entering this card at Inkspirational #225: Night, CAS on Friday #192: Christmas, WWC295: Occasions, Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Movie Inspired (White Christmas).

Last up for today are some playful Gnomes from Mama Elephant hanging around their mushroom house.  I am entering this card at Color Throwdown #617,  Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Movie Inspired (Sherlock Gnomes-2018).
