Happy Birthday

Hello and happy Wednesday.  I have 1 card to post, and it was inspired by this card by Lizzie Jones.  As soon as I saw Lizzie's card, I knew just what I would make for PTI's Create Along With Us challenge.

I was inspired by the wicked elixer bottles Lizzie stamped across her card front, and also how she cut her panel to make a space for her sentiment.  I used the solid vases from Mega Gracious Vases and a flower from the original Gracious Vases set.

I am also linking this card up at CAS on Friday #114 where the challenge is birthday and Simon Says Wednesday where the challenge is to Add a Sentiment.

Thinking of You and Get Well

Hello and happy Mother's Day to everyone who either is a mother, has a mother, or both.  (I think I've covered just about everyone there.)

I finally have a few minutes to post some cards I made this week.  First up is a card inspired by the gorgeous Muse card my friend Michele created to inspire us.  Here is Michele's amazing card.

I was inspired by the flowers, purple (!!) and that embossed circle grounding Michel's focal point.

I white embossed my sentiment on a banner cut from Royal Velvet card stock.  My vase is vellum, and the flowers are from Winnie & Walter and I stamped on water color paper, fussy cut and then painted with Plum Pudding ink.

It is difficult to see in this photo, but I used a stitched oval to impress a shape surrounding my vase and flowers.

I am also linking this card up at Card Concept #54: Spring Flowers and Addicted to Stamps and More #192: Make Your Mark.

My next card was inspired by the sketch at Retro Rubber #37, but unfortunately, I missed the posting deadline.  No matter, because the sketch was still very useful as inspiration.  I realized that I am lacking in masculine get well cards, so I stamped a plaid pattern to play along at Addicted to CAS #87: Plaid and made 2 cards with that plaid.  They are almost the same, but I will show them both here anyway.

I used the Plaid Builder set from PTI in Green Parakeet, Hawaiian Shores and Pure Poppy.  I still have one more piece of this plaid pattern, so stay tuned to see it in a future card.

Happy Saturday

Happy Saturday.  Yay--a long weekend.  I am starting out by posting several cards I have been working on.

I was inspired by the inlaid die cut dogs at this week's MUSE #118 and the colors at Color Me...! #72 to make this birthday card for a friend who is a huge cat lover.  I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #187.

I used the inlaid die cut technique multiple times to make my row of colorful cats using Impression Obsession cat dies.

I am also entering this card at Addicted to CAS #64 where the challenge is animals and Happy Little Stampers CAS challenge to use Die Cuts or Punches.

I did a little bit on the inside of this card.

I am still loving my Retro Style stamps from PTI.  Here is a birthday card I made using those stamps and the Numbers Impression Plate.

I am entering this card at Seize the Birthday Anything Goes and Craft Stamper MITI Anything Goes Take a Stamp challenges.

I pulled out a new but never been used Hero Arts stamp for this next card which I am entering at A Blog Named Hero where the challenge is NEW.  I stamped once in white and then moved the stamp a little bit and stamped again in green.  The stamp I used was cling, so positioning was a bit difficult, but I think this technique is very forgiving.

I am entering this thank you card at The Challenge #35 as I was inspired by the jar of pretty yellow flowers in the inspiration photo.  I am also linking up at Simon Says Monday XYZ challenge (Y for yellow flowers).  Yes, that little shelf that my vase is sitting on is made of washi tape.

And a couple of teacher cards for the end of school.  I'm CASing various projects pinned by PTI from the release of Teach and Inspire.  I used ColourQ #292 colors for this CASE of Nicole Heady's card.

And another version, this one a CASE of Maille Belles.  Until I added the bling at the end, I was using the color scheme from Colour Me...!  I am entering this card at Simply Create #86 Keep it Simple.

That's it for me today.  We are supposed to get more rain this weekend--good news considering the terrible drought we are facing.

Sunday Wrap Up

The weekend is winding down, and it is time for me to post my cards and clean up the big mess I made.  First up is a card for Day #2 of the Papertrey Ink 8th Anniversary Celebration.  The challenge was to create a project inspired by Maile Belles.  This was a very fun challenge.

Maile's Card
This is the card I chose.  I used the same cover plate die, but made a water colored background, rather than patterned paper.

I am also submitting this card to CAS-UAL Fridays cfc136 must love watercolor.

Challenge #3 was 'Bagged and Tagged' and I made a little tag using Tiny Treats Valentines, and tied it on to a Favor It #3 treat box.

Challenge #4 was to build a bouquet using more than one stamp set.  I was inspired to use Mega Gracious Vases by one of the cards Betsy posted this morning.

I used so many different stamp sets for this card.  So nice to see all my stamps and dies playing nicely with each other.

My flowers were from Beautiful Blooms II and Funky Florals.
Leaves were from Embellished Elegance.
Stems were from Beautiful Brushstrokes.
My sentiment was from Mini Blooms.
The vase was from Mega Gracious Vases, and I stamped over it with the Crackle background stamp.
I made a little shelf out of Raspberry Fizz paper and stamped it with Modern Wood Mats in Raspberry Fizz ink.

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Bright and Beautiful.

I have one more card to post today.  I created a background by sponging and blending 3 different colors of pink Distress Ink, and then adhered  Love Cover Up from Lil Inkers on top.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:  Addicted to CAS Hugs and Kisses, Addicted to Stamps #130, Curtain Call Kissing Booth, Inkspirational Challenge #75 Rose Colors, Simon Says Monday H is for....Hearts.

Make it Monday and ColourQ

Well, it is finally the weekend--yay.  I have a busy schedule of driving my girls places and watching them do things, but I am looking forward to it all the same.  I have a quick card to post for this week's Make it Monday #136:  Textured Stamping, where Ashley shows an easy technique for swiping a solid stamp on the ink pad.  I decided to use Mega Gracious Vases, since there are 4 solid stamps, and I tried to swipe in different directions to make each one unique.  I used this week's ColourQ cQc211 colors again because I loved them so much.

Supplies Used (PTI):
Stamps:  Mega Gracious Vases, Wishes Come True
Paper:  White, Limeade Ice Pattern
Ink:  Hibiscus Burst, Limeade Ice, Orange Zest, Versafine Onyx Black, Memento Grey Flannel
Dies:  Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangles, Edgers
Other:  Rhinestones
