The 12 Kits of Holidays: June 2013

It is the last day of June and time for my monthly post with my "12 Kits" Group.  Reveal day is always such fun, as I get to see what everyone else did with the same supplies I received.  This month our focus is back to Christmas, and our host is Jeanne from A Kept Life.  Here is a picture of the gorgeous kit she sent us.  There were so many fun elements in this kit, and it was chock full of supplies that were new to me.  I have a hunch that Jeanne may actually own everything there is to own in the crafting world, and that she used most of it for this kit.  I made 7 cards this time--and I still have lots of supplies left over to case some of the wonderful designs I'm sure I'll see as I hop around our group.

Believe it or not, the first card I made with my Christmas kit was a Valentine.  Go figure...Maybe it's a Jewish thing, but when I saw those die cut birds perched within the heart, I thought 'Valentine'.

Isn't this just the cutest treat holder?   I thing this would be wonderful filled with some holiday chocolates or mints.

I did turn to some sketch challenges for inspiration.  This card is based on this week's Freshly Made Sketches #92

That's it for me today.  If you want a complete supply list, head on over to Jeanne's blog.  I am eager to see what the other members of our group did, and I'll bet that you are too.  Thank you so much, Jeanne, for sending such an incredible kit.

  5. Oh Gosh Joyce where to begin.... so many things I love here - that clean valentine? The die just jumps off the red background... the lace on the last with the curve - and even on your bitty sentiment? Brilliant, and the carolers on the news print and kraft is absolutely stunning. Lots of things I want to case here Joyce and so glad to see it through your eyes!

You made so many amazing cards--the carolers with the music print, the sweet reindeer with the papers & ribbon and that great sketch for the little girl & tree. Love the sweet treat box too!

Wow you made everything shine here! Love your red card with the heat and why not make it into a valentine card…great card and idea, I might do the same. I like the way you made your treat box too. Love the caroler card and the shining star card , nice that it worked for a challenge. Each one is just wonderful so nice that you made so many and I am sure like me you have lots left to make more.

  14. LOL...so you think Jeanne has all the stuff in the crafting world? How funny...it feels like we all have to shovel out our craft rooms just to get in there to work! I love all the cards you made this month, especially love the red one with the neat heart die cut on it and the card where you tore the patterned paper. You were so brave to do that! I also love that treat holder and can totally picture it filled with chocolate! I have really missed you all these last few months and had such fun playing along with you all!

  18. We're up to 4...you, Tracey, Jessica, and I all ended up putting that little silhouette girl with that patterned paper, heee! I told Tracey we must have thought it looked like wallpaper :) LOVE the way the dove heart just pops against the red. The piece of cake box makes for an adorable treat holder with that paper. Such awesome cards, Joyce!
