Isn't this just the cutest sweater? I would love a sweater just like this one. Seeing it made me decide to make a sweater card using these same ColourQ colors, but I had argyle on the brain. I think I'd like a sweater like this just as well. And, while I'm wishing for things, how about a bit of fall weather requiring a sweater.
Supplies Used (PTI):
Stamps: Autumn Pattern Pieces, WPlus9 Strictly Sentiments
Paper: Rustic Cream, Kraft, SU Night of Navy
Ink: SU Night of Navy, Calypso Coral, Strawberry Slush

Today I have a card for this week's Muse challenge #35 and Curtain Call: Sunflower Surprise. I have to say that this Muse inspiration card is gorgeous in every way, and I did try to copy as much as possible, because I loved every element--the tag, the flower, and that HA Envelope pattern in the background. I changed up the color scheme and used sunflowers, so I could enter at Curtain Call as well.
Supplies Used (PTI):
Stamps: Simple Sunflower, Mini Blooms, The Sweet Life, HA Envelope Background
Paper: White, Lemon Tart, Harvest Gold
Ink: Harvest Gold, Spring Moss, Simply Chartreuse, Versafine Vintage Sepia and Onyx Black
Dies: Simple Sunflower, The Sweet Life, Tag Sale
Other: Twine

I have a super quick post for this week's Make it Monday: Layered Border Die Cuts. After much deliberation, I decided to use the large Rick Rack die and a rainbow color scheme. I was able to piece this card together during snippets of time I have had over the past few days. I would have thought I'd have more free time now that the girls are in school, but I seem to be busier than ever. Now that I have a chance to look more closely, I think I will add some bling to that flower before popping this card in the mail.
Supplies Used (PTI):
Stamps: Mini Blooms, Bigger Blooms
Ink: Limeade Ice, Raspberry Fizz, Versafine Onyx Black
Paper: White, Lemon Tart, Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Limeade Ice, Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, Raspberry Fizz, Hibiscus Burst, Sweet Blush
Dies: Bigger Blooms, Large Rick Rack

I have a very special 12 Kits post today. One of our 12 kits members, Jessica, is about to have a baby boy. We are all so excited for her, so we decided to throw her a virtual baby shower.
Have some cookies while you are here.
Welcome to the world, Sonny Boy! I can't wait to see you!
Please head over to the 12 Kits of Occasions Blog which is party central for this baby shower.
Today I played along with WPlus9's Monday Mood Board #20. I loved the red and white chevrons, the kraft and navy, and the nautical theme of the inspiration card.

Happy Sunday. Today, I made a card for two challenges that are new to me. Some Waltzingmouse fanatics have started a new challenge blog, appropriately called Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge, and their first challenge is this sketch. I don't know why it has taken me so long to play along with Addicted to CAS, but I am finally playing, better late than never.
I used two types of embossing on this card--heat and dry, so I will also be entering it into this week's Simon Says Monday and Simon Says Wednesday challenges to use embossing.
My next card is also for this week's Simon Says Monday and Simon Says Wednesday challenges to use embossing. I was inspired by this very fun card on the Paper Smooches site by Laura Bassen. I used a very old SU set called It's a Girl Thing. I colored all the shoes with a variety of Copic Markers, and added lots of Stickles all over. The sentiment is from PTI Green Thumb--I just love this sentiment.
And, I pulled out another old SU set called Cheers to You for this next card that I made just for fun. It will be good to have some sassy girlfriend cards in my stash. This card is also based on this card by Laura Bassen. I colored the drinks with Copics, and then coated with lots of Glossy Accents. The sentiment is on two lines, and I used partial inking to stamp it all on one line.
Supplies Used (PTI):

I absolutely loved this week's Muse #34 inspiration card, from Therese Calvird. I was tempted to use some of my many house stamps or dies, but there were so many incredible cards already out there, I felt like all the good house ideas were taken. So, I went a different route, and was inspired by the fact that the houses were little wooden pieces--and I used some little wooden birds that I have been hoarding for quite some time. I stuck with the basic layout of the Muse card. The heart is three layers of the stitched heart from Lil Inkers Of the Heart dies, and they are separated by dimensional adhesive dots.
Both Simon Says Monday and Simon Says Wednesday challenges are embossing, so I will be entering this card in both of those challenges as well.
Edited to add: I am linking this to the Metal, Wood, & Cork Challenge in the Moxie Fab World.
My next card uses the colors of this week's Dynamic Duos #70 and follows the sketch at Clean and Simple Stamping #258. I paper pieced two of the flowers from Verve Great Friend and added some Ranger Black Enamel Accents to the centers.
My last card uses the colors from this week's ColourQ cQc #206 and the sketch from this week's Freshly Made Sketches #103. I had given up on this week's ColourQ colors, and pulled out a stamp for something else, when it dawned on me just what I should do for this challenge. I used one of my earliest wooden stamp purchases--Hero Arts Birthday Gift--I think it is supposed to be a birthday cake made out of presents--and stamped all the layers with the ColourQ colors, and then paper pieced it back together. The piece at the bottom is Rich Razzleberry stamped in Versamark with WMS Off Beat Backgrounds, and embossed with clear EP. I used some little rhinestones and stickles to decorate the different layers of the Birthday tower.
Both Simon Says Monday and Simon Says Wednesday challenges are embossing, so I will be entering this card in both of those challenges as well.

I have a super quick card for this week's CAS(E) This Sketch. I just love the sketch this week, and may come back to it because I have lots of ideas. But for today, I used my brand new Waltzingmouse Simple Sprig stamps. I stamped the leaves at the top and bottom, and then fussy cut several of the blooms that I stamped in HA Pale Tomato. A bit of dimensional adhesive, and I was done.
Supplies Used (PTI):
Stamps: WMS Simple Sprig, Script Sentiments
Paper: White
Ink: New Leaf, Hero Arts Pale Tomato, Versafine Onyx Black

Hi there. I am popping in really quickly with two cards I made last night. I really like this first card that I made using the colors of this week's Color Throwdown 259. I used the Argyle stamp from Autumn Pattern Pieces and a sentiment from WMS Man of the Hour to make a birthday card for my dad.
In all honesty, I have to say that I don't much like this next card. I used the striped embossing technique from this week's Make it Monday 131. I almost didn't post it, but my daughter thought it looked cool, and I got to thinking that this could be the card that randomly wins, so.....here it is. I used stripes of Zing embossing powder on the balloons from Balloon Bash. I am also entering this card in this week's Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Emboss it.
Well, no time to chat today. I've got to run.

When I first saw the cue word for this week's CASology, I thought my friend and CASology DT member Tracey was playing a trick on me--did I really need to buy a Silhouette Machine to play along? Tracey has been tempting and taunting me endlessly to jump aboard the Silhouette bandwagon.
However, when I saw the samples, I realized that I could play along with any of the many silhouette style stamps I have. I wanted to bring out two of my earliest stamp purchases--two wooden cat silhouette stamps from Judikens. I used Brilliance Lightning Black--which is a fabulous shimmery greenish black--embossed with clear for the cat, and she has a bright pink gem on her neck to match the Raspberry Fizz ink in the sentiment. I am entering both of these cards in this week's Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Emboss It.
I could not decide which cat to use, so I made two cards, with slightly different layouts. This cat is sporting a red gem to match the red sentiment and stripes on the card.
Here they are together. Do you have a preference?
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Judikens Purring and Black Cat, PTI Inside & Out Birthday II, Verve Big Wish
Paper: PTI White, Pure Poppy
Ink: Brilliance Lightning Black, SU Real Red, PTI Raspberry Fizz
Dies: Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangles
Other: Rhinestones, Clear Embossing Powder
