CASology Week #256: Pizza

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.   This week, our cue word is Pizza.  Are you hungry yet?  Do you like pizza?

I had the best pizza ever a few years ago, when we went to Rome for a family vacation.  To keep this card CAS, I only colored in three tiny areas.  As a nod to the traditional red checkered table cloth found in so many pizzerias, I created a frame out of some red gingham paper.

Now it's your turn.  How does PIZZA inspire you?  Go and grab a slice--then come back and play along.   Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

Season's Greetings and Happy Housewarming

Popping in quickly to share 2 cards.  First up, I am playing along with PTI Create Along with Us, by CASEing this beautiful card by Kay Miller.

Kay Miller's Card

I tried to duplicate Kay's design, using stamps and dies from last year's Spruce and Sprigs.

I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge:  Clean and Simple and Just Us Girls #360 to use sequins.  The sequins I use are woodgrain, from Serendipity Stamps.

Next up is a housewarming card, using a very old Penny Black stamp called Uptown.  I am entering this card at Retro Rubber #47: Anything Goes.  I have no idea how long I have had this stamp set, but it has been a long time.  This stamp I used consisted of a row of 4 houses nestled together.

I masked and stamped all the way up the page, cutting and coloring just one of the houses to pop up with foam tape.  The sentiment is from PTI Super Succulents.

I am also entering this card at The Challenge #77 and Addicted to Stamps and More #211: Anything Goes.

Happy Birthday Sandie

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SANDIE!!!

Today is a very special day because we are celebrating Sandie's birthday.  How about some cake?

Nonni has planned a surprise birthday celebration for our dear Sandie, and part of the birthday festivities is an extra, bonus Time Out celebration challenge.

The challenge:  CAS with the optional twist of PURPLE.

I made this card for Sandie because it has two of her favorite things--London and purple.  Can't you just see Sandie with her chic purple umbrella and purple boots?

I hope you will join in on the birthday fun.

Please head over to Sandie's blog and leave her some birthday love.

Then, play along with our bonus Time Out birthday challenge for Sandie by linking up a CAS card with the optional twist of purple.  This challenge is sponsored by Lynn, and the prize is a $25 GC to Simon Says Stamp.

Time Out #50...Reminder...Rome

There is still time to play along with our challenge at Time Out.  This week we have a photo inspiration for our challenge.

I took my inspiration from the black and white color scheme and also the theme of travel.

I was inspired by the partial picture of the Roman Collsseum, and used a stamp by Penny Black.  I colored a few of the images with a colored pencil.

Our guest designer this time is Cornelia so please make sure to stop by and see what she has made for this challenge.

I hope that you will take some Time Out to play along with us over the next two weeks.  Please see the Time Out challenge blog to see more inspiration from the Design Team.

CASology Week #181: Clear

This is my second post for today.  If you are looking for my ColourQ post,  please click here.

Hello and happy Tuesday. It's time for another challenge at CASology.  This week, our cue word is Clear.  I thought of a little Lawn Fawn set I have called Clear To See, and it is full of eye glasses. My card just evolved from there.  I made a border of eye glasses, and then paired them with a sentiment stamp from Penny Black.  I  love this little eye chart.

Now, it's your turn.  How does Clear inspire you?  I hope you play along this week. Please remember to keep it Clean and Simple.

Please head on over to the CASology blog and gather some inspiration from the design team.

We are sponsored this week by STAMPlorations.

Lawnscaping, Simon Says, and ColourQ

Hi there.  I learned today that Simon Says Stamps has two challenge blogs--both with fabulous prizes.  How could I not have known that?  Did you know that?

I have a card for this week's Lawnscaping Challenge No. 50:  Winter Wonderland,  Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog:  Let's Get Paper Piecing, and Simon Says Stamp and Show:  What Are You Known For?    My card uses several Lawnscaping Sets to create a wintry scene, is paper pieced with Handmade by Lily Bee papers, and features an Owl (of course, as that is what I think I am known for).  I just love that itty bitty snowflake, from Sweet Christmas.

My next card uses this weeks ColourQ challenge cQc #173, which I interpreted into PTI colors as Terracotta Tile, Summer Sunrise, Sweet Blush, Kraft and Vintage Cream.  I must be honest and say that I was not in love with these colors.  However, I did like the skirt, so thought perhaps I could make them work on a card.  I've had this Penny Black I chart stamp for quite a while, and wanted to pair it with Lawn Fawn's Clear to see, just like Kim did here.

I started by stamping a random pattern of eye glasses in Terracotta Tile, Summer Sunrise, and Kraft.

Here is the card.  I am also entering this card into the Moxie Fab Challenge #49:  Make Your Own Background Paper.

Supplies Used:
Hello
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn Winter Owl, Critters in the Forest, A Birdie Told Me, Sweet Christmas

Birthday
Stamps:  Penny Black I Chart, Lawn Fawn Clear to See
