My Crafty Week

I'm playing along with MUSE #283, where my bestie Kim has this card to inspire us.  Isn't it cute?  I saw her make it!

Kim's Inspiration Card

I was inspired by Kim's background stamping, and the fun animals randomly stamped.

I picked a card from many years ago to redo for PTI Transformation Tuesday Challenge.  This is truly one of those 'what was I thinking' cards.

My Original Card

I changed the orientation of the card, used stamping instead of die cutting for my main design, and used colors that I thought worked well together.  I used the photo at Addicted to Stamps and More #310 to inspire my colors.  I must admit to liking my new card much more than the original.

My Transformed Card

Next up is a card I made with Kim's supplies when she was visiting.  I am entering it at The Card Concept #98, where my style is Clean and Simple, and also at Seize the Birthday where the topping is Die Cuts or Punches.

I had birds in mind when I pulled out these die cut bird houses, something I cut when Jacquie was visiting and brought some of her supplies to share.  I am entering this card at Addicted to CAS #145: Tweet.

This week's Make it Monday #336: Faux Gilded Leaves was such a fun technique, and I loved Laurie's card so much, I tried to recreate it as best I could.  I am also entering this card at Just Us Girls #459 and Just Add Ink #427: Just add 'K'  The 'K' here is kraft.

Next up is a birthday banner, inspired by the challenge colors at Where Creativity Meets C9 #25, and the Use Those Sequins challenge at CAS-ual Fridays CFC#208.

I loved the fun crafty inspiration photo at Inkspirational #170, and made this card to send to a crafty friend some day.

Last, but not least is a holiday card using a poppystamps die for Poppystamps Challenge #48: Anything Goes.

Four Cards for Thursday

Today I have a card that uses the colors from this week's ColourQ #268 and the sketch from RetroSketches #141.    When I first saw the colors and some of the samples, I was thinking feminine, but after I put my card together, I realized that my design worked better as a masculine card--so I picked a different sentiment that wasn't so ornate.  I'm also entering at Seize the Birthday, without toppings.

After cutting my 3 different colors of card stock with the SSS Diamond Parade die, I stamped them all with the background texture stamp from the same set as my sentiment--PTI's 1960's Stamp A Faire set.

Happy 2nd birthday to Addicted to CAS.  I made a card with my newest owl stamp, this little cutie from Unity called Woo Hoo Owl.  He is perfect for my owl-loving daughter because he has long skinny legs and wears glasses, just like her.  Can you see the Glossy Accents I used to make lenses on the glasses?  I am also entering at Addicted to Stamps #122 for their Make your Mark challenge, as I used Copic markers on my owl.  My daughter is going to Florida tomorrow for a big lacrosse tournament, and I'll be tucking this into her suitcase.

I was inspired by Kristie's card to finally use my No Strings Attached stamp set, and made another card for The Card Concept 23 Krafty Christmas.  I will call my card Clean and Layered.

My last card is for this week's Muse Challenge #94, Paper Players #222 Clean and Simple Thank You, and Simon Says Wednesday challenge thanks or Thanksgiving.  I wanted to follow the basic sketch of the gorgeous inspiration card, and use the technique of overlapping stamped images and inlaid die cutting for the sentiment.  When I stacked up my sentiment and inlaid it back into my stamped panel, topped with the layer cut from the stamped panel, it was really too difficult to read the die cut word, thanks.  So, I left it as a stacked inlay, but did not put the last layer on, which was the layer cut out of the stamped panel.  I added some burlap texture to the card front.

That's it for me today.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Saturday.  I have a super quick post today with a card I made using the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and the colors at ColourQ.

My leaves are from Leaf Prints, the sentiment is from Autumn Acorns, and the patterned paper is Bo Bunny.

Four-of-a-Kind #15

It's my favorite time of the month again--Four of a Kind posting time.  I think most of my readers know what is about to happen, but if you are new, please click here to get the scoop.  This month, I am our hostess, and I decided to focus on fall--rich fall colors, my favorite PTI fall set--Leaf Prints, and some sentiments all around a theme of 'thanks'.

Here is a picture of what I sent out:
The first things I made from my own kit were some gift card holders, that have already been used--I needed them to hold the grocery store gift cards that went into the Thanksgiving Baskets I made for the homebound elderly in our community.  The two on the left are made using the PTI Pillowbox die, and the one on the right is made from the PTI seed packet die.
Here are my cards:

This one is cased from Laurie Willson's CAS(E) this Sketch sample here.

Well, that's it for me.  I still have leftovers from my kit--plus of course all the stamps and dies, so I am excited to see what everyone else did, so I can CASE them.  And, here is a link to my pinterest board where I pin everone's Four-of-a-Kind creations.

The other three members of Four-of-a-Kind are:
