Friday Round Up

Hello and happy Friday.  Today I am playing along with the challenge at Stay Crafty With Hero #13: Creative Bug.  I used the video from Day 7--Tone on Tone Stamping for my card, and made a card inspired by the challenge at Seize the Birthday #197: Rainbow Colors.  I used a very Hero Arts cling birthday background stamp--this stamp is so old I have no idea what it is called, and I combined it with a newish birthday cake die from a MMH kit.

I am also entering at Retro Rubber #141: Anything Goes (my birthday background stamp may be 8 or so years old) and Simon Says Stamp Challenge: Summer Memories (my youngest daughter's birthday is in the summer).

This tone on tone stamping technique resulted in lots of extra stamped parts, so I made 2 additional cards with some of the leftovers.

And, I will be entering these cards into the same challenges.

My next card is inspired by the challenge at Memory Box: Happy Holidays.  I used one of my favorite dies from Memory Box--Country Landscape.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge: Midsummer Blues.

Last up is an entry for Poppystamps Poppy Challenge #41: Heat Wave.  I used the die Spinning Circles to create a hot sun, and I also heat embossed the grounding ribbon for my scene with some black sparkle embossing powder.  The stamps are Poppystamps In Stitches.  I am also entering this card at Just Add Ink #518: Just add "T" (trees) and  Retro Rubber #141: Anything Goes (my stamps are at least 3 years old).

That's it for me today.  Stay safe and stay crafty.

Thanks for Visiting

  1. Your tone-on-tone backgrounds in rainbow are so pretty and add a splash of fun to your birthday cards. The choice of the plain white cake was inspired but all of your creations are lovely. Thank you for joining in with us at Retro Rubber Challenge.

  2. What a great trio of birthday cards! I like how for the third one, you isolated separate words from the background stamp. And the white cake silhouette on the first one - and thanks for adding it to Seize the Birthday! I'm feeling sad for your penguins dressed up in that hot sun... they might be more comfortable on the other, cooler card! :D
