Happy Mother's Day

I have a quick post with only 1 card today.

The challenge at PTI Make it Monday #316 is Stenciled Edges.  I decided to remake one of my cards with this technique, and also submit it for the Transformation Tuesday challenge.

Here is my original card.

I changed the colors and the orientation of the card.  Also, by sponging and stenciling the edges, I have almost no white space in my new card.  I actually like both cards, and it is fun to see something so different emerge from basically the same supplies.

I am also entering this card at Retro Rubber #83: Anything Goes.  My stamps and dies are from December 2016.  I am also entering this card at Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes.

  1. I'm always amazed at how using different colours can change the look, and the feel, of a card made with the same supplies. Both yours are beautiful. The stencilled edge is very effective - great technique. Thanks for sharing your beauty with us at Retro Rubber Challenge.

  5. Both cards are lovely Joyce! I love the color palette and the stenciled edges of the first card and I also am loving the scored edges on the second card. Was that scored or is it an embossing folder? Love it!!!

  8. They're both equally gorgeous, Joyce ... the original is fresh and bright with delicious crisp framing, the transformed one is soft and delicate, the stencilled edges are lovely! Hugs, Anita :)
