The 12 Kits of Occasions: February 2015

Well, February seemed to just whoosh by, and now it is the last day of the month and time for our 12 Kits of Occasions post.  No matter how long we have been doing these posts, I still get such a thrill of anticipation to see what everyone made with their kits, and this month is no exception.  Our host this month is Sharron of On Papillon Wings and she sent truly the most amazing and enormous kit of goodies for us to play with.  Seriously, there was enough stuff to make a year's worth of cards.  I am definitely going to have fun playing with my leftovers and CASing everyone else's cards.  Sharron's theme was birds, and practically everything in her kit was things I did not have.

I only had time to make 5 cards, and my kit pretty much looks untouched.

Just for fun, I finally broke out my Gelatos, and used them to water color this card and the next one.

I was inspired by this gorgeous card by Deepti for my next card.

We have some happy exciting news this month.  Michelle Ferguson of I Card Everyone has joined our group as our newest member.  This will be Michelle's first month posting with our group as a member.  Also, we are lucky to have Taunya Butler of Daisies Girl with us this month as our Guest Designer.  Please go visit them and see what they have done with our kit this month. And then head over to our 12 Kits Blog to see a full list of supplies as well as links to all of our participating members and guests this month.

Thanks for Visiting

  6. Lots of clever things here! The last one with the cut up strips is amazing. I think I love the colorful birds best - they're like a rainbow! That music strip got the best of me! Now I know what to do with it!

  7. Your homage to Deepti is brilliant, and couldn't help but smile because you used the birds on a wire - I sure wanted to do "ebony and ivory" but just couldn't pull it together!! Love every single, darling, card...

  11. You always make such a fabulous, versatile set of cards, Joyce! I love how you used the cloud paper in sections...I saved that sheet because I couldn't even cut into it, love it so much :)! The black birds are striking against the stripes and I love those tall birdies all in a row...what a great idea to color them with gelatos. I don't have any yet, but let me tell you I'm faltering each time I see a project with them! :)

  12. I love the variety of your cards, Joyce! The way you colored those sketchy chickadees is just wonderful, but I'm totally in awe of the diagonal lines in the last. And your little bird on top of the music notes is adorable...I'm singing the birthday song in my head right now because of it. :)

  16. Joyce, you totally rocked this kit! So many wonderful and amazing cards. From the looks of all your cards you must have received the kit with the self assembling cards. Your second card is my favorite of the flock, those sweet long leg birds are so fun and so sweet, they really steal the show!
