Hi. Just a quick post with two cards for challenges that are near ending. I used Sketched Shapes in the colors of this week's Play Date Cafe PDCC#183 to make another Father's Day card for my stash. I was inspired by Erin Lincoln's card here. After several unsuccessful tries at getting the pattern and alignment right, I decided to just cut all the triangles, stamp them, and then arrange them. Much easier. I am finding that those images are not the easiest to line up.
And, one for the Mother's Day stash. I am in love with this Hero Arts Dogwood stamp, and really love the inspiration card from last week's CASE Study by Maile Belles. I could not directly copy her that week, but the challenge is over, so I am copying her now for this week's A Blog Named Hero CAS Challenge #24.

I think I would have gone mad trying to line those stamps up and would have done what you did. I actually like how it has a cool patchwork look from the cut pieces being put together. And I love that dogwood stamp too. I bought it a few years ago after seeing a gorgeous card by Lucy Abrams. It really is a stunner and I love the soft look of your card!
ReplyDeleteYour triangle card is amazing! And I love the matching pattern in the sentiment banner. I think I would have struggled with lining them up too but cutting them works great. Your dogwood is gorgeous! Love the soft pink on the kraft!
