I have been crafting for several days without posting anything. I guess I had a lot of creative energy, and didn't want to stop to post. But, the ending time of some challenges is approaching, so I decided to go ahead and post. Warning--there are a lot of photos here...
First up is my entry into this week's Make it Monday challenge #114: Blown Ink. This was a very interesting challenge, and I have seen some pretty amazing looking cards. I am a bit of a control freak, and like to know exactly where my ink is going, so this technique was a stretch for me. I used reinkers in the following colors: Hibiscus Burst, Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise, Limeade Ice, and Blueberry Sky. I blew the ink with a straw, and then used those same colors on the main panel to paint the tips of my brushes and create some ink splats. I am also entering this card into this week's Simon Says ....Happy Mail challenge.
My next card is for this week's A Blog Named Hero: All that Glitters challenge, as well as CAS-ual Friday's: CFC100: Top 10 Tic Tac Toe challenge. I chose the middle column--Kraft, Bling, Emboss. I used Hero Arts Flower Swirl Vine stamp and embossed in white on kraft. I used pink, turquoise and purple bling on many of the flower centers, and a sentiment from PTI Script Sentiments.
My next card is for this week's Dynamic Duos DD #51 and Fusion #5. My card uses Baja Breeze and PTI Harvest gold, and is inspired by both the sketch and the photo. I stamped some Baja Breeze stripes using Water Color Wonder, and hand cut a butterfly from PTI Beautiful Butterflies. If you look closely, you can see the glitter on the butterfly's antennae as well as the canvas/linen impression plate.
My next card is for a challenge that is new to me. I saw this challenge on another crafter's blog, and decided to play along with The Deconstructed Sketch challenge no. 100. I used an image from Avery Elle's Fanfare set, along with some fun papers from Doodlebug Take Note, and the PTI Numbers Impression Plate.
My next card was inspired by a card I saw here on Lin's blog, for The Crafts Meow. I thought I could do something similar with PTI Sketched Shapes. After I made the card, I realized that it was very similar in layout to the card above, so I will also link this card to The Deconstructed Sketch challenge no. 100. My ink colors here are Summer Sunrise, New Leaf, SU Tempting Turquoise, Hero Arts Pale Tomato.
My next two cards use this week's Retro Sketches rs#62. I thought it was a great sketch, and I had two ideas about how to use it. My first card is inspired by something I remember seeing a while back on the cover of Paper Crafts magazine--a negative die cut from On the Farm with some gingham paper underneath. I have some navy gingham paper courtesy of Renee from a while back.
My next Retro Sketches card is inspired by this card from Nicole during the release for Sketched Shapes. My inks were: New Leaf, Hawaiian Shores, Hibiscus Burst, Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise, and Harvest Gold. The cute pink twine is courtesy of Tracey (thanks!)
Are you tired yet? This is my last card for today--for this week's 10 Minute Craft Dash #17. I used Kraft, Aqua Mist and Berry Sorbet, and my card took 6 minutes 52 seconds. It was based on this card by Nicole during the release for Sketch Shapes.
That's it for me this weekend. I am too tired to type up all the supplies, but if you have any questions, please just let me know.
Thanks for Visiting
